Will calls me and tells me to get to our dorm room; Riley needs us. Usually a guy would be mocked for that, but I could tell by the tone of his voice this was serious. Plus I have the need to always be the hero. I can hear swearing through the door. Riley is pacing around our room, while swearing about his newly minted ex-girlfriend. Apparently the day after he left to go to boarding school, she cheated on him. With his best friend. And his brother. That's gonna make family dinners awkward.
"I spent a year of my damn life on that waste of space!" It slowly degrades into random words punctuated with swear words. I text Clary and the rest of our my friends who are girls, and warn them to stay away. I have the feeling Riley isn't going to like the fairer sex very much today. We decide to do the time honored tradition for whenever a hockey player gets dumped.. Messing with the football team. It's also the tradition for to fix my boredom.
Spring practice starts soon for them, so in light of the latest football scandal we decided to do some deflating of our own. The three of us sneak into the field house storage and deflate every single football we can find. Do you how know how long it takes to completly deflate 40 footballs? Ten minutes or so with three very determined hockey players.
Riley seems noticeably better as we stride out of field house(the important part is to walk out like you own the place). There's nothing like getting your anger out on football players when you get dumped. Actually that might be why I have a 'destructive' personality.
We then decide to spread the love and mess with the lacrosse team. We make it nice and easy... we just found a few lax sticks lying around, and just unstrung them. These are the kind of pranks we pull off with no planning. Last semester I covered the entire first floor of the science building with a thin convering of mables. I found out it is incredibly difficult to buy marbles in bulk.
I can hear loud shouting from the field house. We all share a look and then start to sprint to our dorm. Luke and his cronies round the corner just in time to see our dust. Riley goes to his room while Will and I start up a madden game. I'm destroying him as usual while ignoring texts from Ashley. Then I get a text from Clary. She asks me to meet her somewhere. I answer the hammocks by the lake.
When I look up from my phone Will was staring. "Do you actually like this Clary girl?" I told him about her after we hung out.
"I think I might..."
"Jason has real feelings for a girl! It's a miracle!" Will always makes fun of me for my shallowness, since he usually dates girls for a long time. I throw a large book at him as I walk out the door.
Our boarding school has a small lake on the edge of campus with a few hammocks boarding the lake. I see my beautiful redhead friend sitting on one staring out over the lake. I run and jump on the hammock pulling Clary down next to me as I lie down. "Fancy meeting you here beautiful." I raise one eyebrow really cocky.
" You made quite the entrance there Jason." Clary is all dry sarcasium at the moment. "I like it here! My roommate is super nice! Her name is Cassie Smith."She responds when I ask her how she likes school. Cassie is this short bubbly girl who's really funny and a kinda cute. She has long blonde hair and shocking blue eyes. Cassie's a little crazy, and more importantly she doesn't hate me! Clary hasn't gotten up from her spot next to me on the hammock. I'm glad We're both staring at the sky so she can't see the huge grin on my face. We just lie there and talk for a while. Not only is she beautiful, she's amazing to talk to. After when I'm not walking back to my room only one thought running through my head. Why didn't I kiss her?Hi guys! It's Mike! Sorry for the shorter chapter, but good news! I'm gonna try a chapter a week for Atleast the rest of summer. Anyways guys stuffs gonna go down with clary and Jason soon! Hope you guys liked the story! -Mike
