Roc (POV)

'This has got to be one of the hardest test in the world!' I think loudly in my head. I have one more question left and then I'm done! (Ding Ding)I look up at the clock and the time is 10:10am. First period is officially over. "Okay, times up. Turn in your test at the front and carry on with your day" Mr. Frank the Algebra 2 teacher said while erasing the dry erase board. The class was clearing fast. The only people left in the class were me and the new girl Cindy. Who has already turned in her test now she's just packing her things. "Come on Roc" The voice that spoke out to me was familiar. Standing by the door was my homeboy Jacob...but everyone calls him Princeton. "Stop staring in space and let's go!" He was getting impatient. "Okay, okay" I replied back while marking the last question without even reading it. I quickly grabbed my backpack stood up from my seat and handed the teacher my test. "Thank you Mr. August" He said after putting down someone else's test and taking mine from my hand and flipping through it. I shot him a slight smile and walked out the door into the hallway. "What took you so long man?" Princeton asked frowning. "Look I was just kind of out of it okay. How you think you did on the test?" I asked him while pulling out a pack of gum and eating a piece. "It was hard as hell!" sticks his hand out for a piece of the gum. "How many did you do?" I questioned while giving him some gum and shoving it back in my pocket. "Yo, to be honest I wrote my name, doodled a bit on the back page, and then I went to sleep. He shoved the gum in his mouth and started walking away from me.

"WHAT!?" I yelled out chasing after him a few feet away from Mr. Franks class door. "Prince Bro you've got to do better in school man! For real!" Princeton just stood there frozen looking past my shoulder. When I turned around I saw Cindy. Cindy McFarland. She was the new girl in the school. Not really sure what her parents do because I've never heard of her from anywhere. Her hair was a dark brown blackish color that went to her collar bone, she was about 5'3, and she was wearing sparkly long blue jeans with a 'LOVE' tank top on. She was absolutely beautiful. "Aye man is she walking towards us?" Princeton asked in disbelief. Indeed she was. She walked up to us and stopped before us flashing a smile. Her teeth were perfect. "Hi guys." She spoke so soft, it was like and angel. "H-Hi" I managed to speak out. "You guys are Jacob and Chresanto right?" I loved the way she said my name. "Well actually. People call us Roc and Princeton. We're in the boyband 'Mindless Behavior' you've probably heard of us." Princeton said to her. "Oh yeah! I thought you guys looked familiar! Y'all look so different!" Cindy said scanning us both.

She looked dead at me. "Anyways I came to tell you Roc, that Mr. Frank said that we had the best scores in the whole school!" I blinked a few times. "Wait what!? Are you sure he has the right guy? I felt like I tanked that test! It was hard!" I told her. "We both got B's" I frowned at her. "B's? We beat the whole school with a B? How is this possible?" I spoke uneven. "Look I don't know what was going on I just know Mr. Frank said we are now considered the top five smartest people in the school." Cindy told me with a bright smile. "Psh, smart alec's" Princeton said behind me. I turned to him and gave him an evil glare then I put my attention back on Cindy's beautiful bright Brown eyes. "Well... thanks for telling me Cindy." I said holding my hands behind my back. "Sure." The two dings of the one minute bell goes off. "Oh that's my queue got to go. It was great meeting you guys! I'll see you around." She said skipping off down the hall. I just watched her till she disappeared. "Roc loves Cindy" I heard Prince Say quietly in my ear.

"Shut-up punk. I don't love her; I don't even know the chick." "But you want too." He spit back at me. There was not one dought in my mind about that. I did want to get to know Cindy. But how? "Hello?" Princeton said snapping in my face. I shook my head and looked at the hallway clock. "Prince Come on lets go we're already basically late but let's head to class" I said taping his shoulder and walking away. Stopping in my tracks I turn around to see that Princeton is still standing there. "Prince? Come on let's go." I repeat. "How... how about we skip next period?" He said to me smiling. "Prince have you lost your mind? Since when do you want to skip class?" I heard laughter and turned around to see Jaden Smith and Diggy Simmons. "Ayo Dragon you ready man?" Jaden asked from across the hall. I slowly turned back to face Princeton. "Yeah Pipe I'll meet y'all outside." Princeton told them as they walked out the door. I just glared at him. He grabbed his backpack and started walking past me but I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Where y'all going?" I asked him. He sighed. "We're going to the park across the street. You need to chill yo for real" He walked past me again and was about to walk out the door.

"Y'all are gonna go smoke again aren't y'all!" I snapped at him. "Don't worry about it Roc! It's okay." He assured me. I'll see you at Prod's house tonight." With that he walked out the door. I started walking to my second period, knowing I was late as hell but at that moment I didn't care. I hated Jaden and Diggy. They're the ones that got Princeton interested in getting high. Now his grades are slipping, him and his parents having problems, and he doesn't give a shit anymore. That's not like him at all. They don't even call him by his real name, another thing I can't stand. They all have nicknames that have something to do with smoking. Princeton's name is 'Dragon' because you take a drag of the joint. Jaden's name is 'Pipe' cause you need the pipe to smoke it, and Diggy's name is 'Fire' cause you need a lighter. The only reason I know this is because Prince talks about it all the time. Like who the hell does that? Those are not his friends! I finally made it to the front of the classroom door. "God, I really don't want to even go to class anymore. I said to myself. Hopefully the day will go by fast." I finally walked in the class room to get yelled at by the teacher for being so late. Did I give a crap? Nope!
