Chapter 3

Here is Chapter 3 you guys! I hope you guys enjoy it! I probably won't upload chapter 4 for awhile. I will try to get it uploaded for the next few days. I am still waiting for suggestions for Alex! You will find out in Chapter 4 who it is! So there is still time! I am always willing to hear your suggestions! I always want to hear your prediction of what going to happen!

I woke up screaming and in cold sweat. I looked at the time and it was 12 in the afternoon. After recovering from the flash from the past, I changed into some clothes and went downstairs. I headed for the fridge and saw the note from Mom. Saying that Dad and her went to a business trip. Like usual. They are never home. Leaving me with my brother who spends his time smoking and partying. And did I mention that he abused me a few years ago. Yeah.

Anyways, as I was about to get something to eat, I heard a knock at the door. I closed the fridge and went to see who it was. It turned out to be Emily. "Hey, you ready?" asked Emily.

I just remembered that we made plans to go to the mall this afternoon. "Yeah,"

"So what happened to you yesterday," asked Emily while I drove us to the mall.

"Uhm, I wasn't feeling good after school so I went straight home," I lied.

"Oh, well are you feeling any better? We could go back and do this tomarrow," replied Emily.

"No, I'm fine now," I said.

After walking hours through the mall, we decided to get something to eat at the food court. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a root beer. Emily ordered a salad, and water. We found a table and started eating. In the middle of eating, Emily went bugged eyed on me again. I looked behind me where she was staring at. I looked around and saw Alex. I looked around expecting Jason to be around any minute. But I couldn't see him. I looked back at Alex, and when I met his eyes he smiled and waved to me. I awkwardly waved back at him. "Did he just waved at you?" Emily asked suspicially.

"Yeah, I guess," I answered. I don't know why she was making a big deal out of it.

"Well I have to use the washroom," said Emily.

"I will wait here for you."

She walked away. After a few minutes of being alone I saw somone walking towards me. It was Alex. "Hey."

"Hi," I replied back.

"What's up?" asked Alex.

"Why do you care? Like, why are you being nice to me of all of a sudden?" I angrily asked.

But before he could reply, Emily was back. When she noticed that Alex was standing in front of our table. She looked like she was getting nervous. "Well, see you around Sara," said Alex.

When Alex left, Emily stared at me. "What was that all about?" asked Emily.

:"Just to say hi," I sighed.

We threw out our garbage and started driving home. After I dropped off Emily at her place, I headed home.

My parents wasn't home yet but my brother was. I started to tense up. I rushed up the stairs and locked the door. I put on a movie to keep my mind of it.

In the middle of the movie, there was a knock on my bedroom door. I paused the movie and opened my door. I was surprised to see that Alex was standing in front of me. "Hey," said Alex.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"Well, I came to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't stop Jason from hurting you. But I am sick of his games, and I want us to be friends."

"Oh," I said. I didn't know what else to say.

"Yeah, so would you forgive me, and be friends?"

"Ok, I will give you a chance. But only one, and just friends," I warned him.

"Ok," he said

"Wait, how did you get inside my house?" I asked

"Your brother let me in." he said.

"Oh,:" I said back.

After an awkward silence, Alex decided to break it. "Well I better get going. Uhm, I see you in school," said Alex.

"Ok, bye,"

I closed my door and locked it again. And thought about what happened. Alex apoligized to me and I just became friends with my secret crush. This should be interesting.
