“No, Dad, please, don’t do it!” A girl screamed in the distance. Her beautiful, red as fire hair that fell to her waist blew in the wind from the open door as her father advance, a murderous look in his eyes and a maniacal grin curved into his lips.

He leaned over her as she tried to scramble up the stairs to her sanctuary, her room, but his tall stature was huge compared to her slim 5 foot tall frame, “Don’t tell me what I can and can’t do, wench!” He barked at her. She kicked out, trying to kick the huge hunting knife out of the experienced hunter’s hand.

It was no use.

She wasn’t strong enough.

Tears streamed like waterfalls from the girl’s bright blue eyes down her cheeks, falling onto her favorite shirt. It was a billowy peach top that fell around the girl’s frame perfectly.

Suddenly, her father struck out with the knife. Her arms went up instinctively to protect herself, but it did no good as the knife slashed into her forearms, leaving slashes that bled a bright red that was vibrant against the girl’s paper white skin. She tried to contain her scream as he struck out again, this time to her short-clad legs that showed tons of horizontal scars that weren’t from her father, but were dealt with a razor hidden in her room.

His free hand made its way to her throat, squeezing and blocking off her air with the ease of the most experience hunter. She thrashed and made guttural noises until she couldn’t move anymore and her eyes began to fill with the blackest of blacks. Her world finally faded when she felt the knife sink into the spot right above her heart. The lights in her beautiful, tearful eyes faded, replaced by a lifeless, somehow thankful essence.

He had finally done what he had been plotting to do for years. He had killed his innocent daughter.

The hunter had finally killed the long-time hunted prey with such ease, he had regretted it for not doing it earlier.

Little did the hunter know, that the prey would be back.

Stronger and angrier than ever before.
