Swagrid stood tall among the native Korean farmers, and was well known as untrustworthy and dangerous.
His face looked, in fact, very similar to that of his younger brother, except that his didn't portray the trust and benevolence of Rubeus's. His dark brown, almost black beard didn't have the comforting fuzz of his brother's. Instead it was a few inches shorter, with a wavy, gelled structure, which was perfectly trimmed.
His attire was also questionable, as he wore heavy chains and rings forged expertly into the word 'swag'. His reputation had been taken down a few notches due to these, as a young boy had once attempted to steal one. Swagrid had left him with two broken fingers and mental scarring. He wasn't bothered in that way again.
Since then he'd been held in contempt by everyone except for a few of the village's nastier souls, who often dealt similarly with thieves and beggars. Even an association with those dark persons was not viewed favourably, and Swagrid often sold them rock-weed, sometimes in public. This was the final straw for many of the locals.
A meeting was called one night, ten months after Swagrid's arrival, and the locals voted unanimously that he should leave. A young man, Micheal, had been elected for the job, mainly due to his advanced physique and comforting tone. Also due to the fact that he was the only man in the village capable of speaking slightly broken English, Swagrid's father's language, and therefore his. Everyone knew Swagrid wouldn't leave. A few of them even hoped he'd refuse so that they could resort to plan B. Burning at the stake.
Swagrid ripped open the door to his small room, inside of the small inn near the centre of the village, and looked down onto the incredibly muscular man beneath him. Swagrid was obviously not intimidated, as he chuckled at Micheal, and casually thought to himself that maybe he should just shut the door in the small man's face. But before that could occur, the man strode inside, and demanded that Swagrid should leave.
"Swagrid, you are too big, too dangerous, and we do not like you. We think that you should leave because it would make our village good and safe."
Swagrid was, in fact, surprised. He'd expected to stay at least another few months, and then leave regardless. But Swagrid had a plan, and wasn't going to veer off it, just so that this little man could have a 'good' or 'safe' village.
"And why would I do that?" snarled Swagrid, shoving Micheal out of the room, and slamming the door so hard that the ceiling started to leak in the rain a few hours later.
Of course, Swagrid wasn't there by the time that the roof was leaking. Because, by then, Plan B was in motion.
