It was dark. She was alone and was so careless. She walked aimlessly into my trap. I had known her. I had been watching her for over a month, learning how she behaved, how she lived. She was walking home from the party and she smelled of alcohol. I watched as she stumbled down the sidewalk and into the ally. She tried to keep herself from falling, her hands on the wall. She finally fell into a pile of trash bags. The sedative had worked. I emerged from the shadows and examined her body. What she was wearing, what she was carrying. I picked up her purse, rummaging through make-up and money. I found her wallet and looked at her ID carefully. I wanted to make sure it was her. I grabbed her phone and smashed it to bits, making sure I couldn't be used or traced. I dragged her body through the ally and loaded her into the back of my van. I put a bag over her head and handcuffed her to the floor, in case she woke up. I had done it. I had finally captured Kaitlyn Cosgrove.
