Fiona Marino POV

"Abbiamo perso il nostro medico in una sparatoria. Sarai tu il nostro nuovo medico a domicilio." My eyes widened in shock at Vincenzo's words. I am only a veterinarian, he must know that by now, or is he slow? (We lost our doctor in a shooting. You are to be our new in home doctor.)

"I will not! I am not a human doctor, I don't have the right training or qualifications you have to find somebody else." In the corner of my eye, I see Samantha stirring. When I made that joke, I really didn't expect her to faint. I knew she was claustrophobic but... wow.

"We will pay you a hefty sum in return. You will never have to worry about anything again." Vincenzo says, softening his tone but it just makes me angrier.

"Hefty sum for what?" Samantha asks sitting up more alert, still trying to move against the restraints.

"It doesn't matter cause it's not happening" I say determined, glaring at Vincenzo and Damiano

"Let's try this again shall we?" Damiano steps closer and I make it a point to keep eye contact. I can't show any weakness as afraid as I am. "You will be our doctor. If you want to ever see your family again." That gets my attention again. What does he mean by that?

"Damiano, please, that isn't the way to get her to cooperate." Samantha pleads to Damiano.

Damiano continues, ignoring her, "I had someone pull information about you as you worked on Calvin. I know that your mother and father moved here a couple months before you were born. I know your mother was only granted clearance because your father is a U.S. citizen, but without your father here—"

"What the fuck are you getting at here asshole!?"

"I am saying, if you do not agree to work here as our doctor, I will send your mother back to Italy leaving your little sister, Francesca is it? All alone. Without even you to care for her. Now what do you say?" He tilts his head in mock pity causing my blood to boil. I look behind him at Vincenzo who shows no emotions on his face, and I know that this is real.

"Fiona, listen to me." Vincenzo speaks up finally. I look up at him, the situation beginning to become very overwhelming. My eyes start to water and I mentally will the tears to stay back. I will not cry right now. "Just take the deal. I promise you will be a fine doctor. Just accept before this gets much worse for you and your family." I look down at my lap, a lone tear finally falls as I see no way out of this. Not without hurting my family.

"Stop fucking moving around so much!" Damiano snaps, turning to Samantha. Samantha glared at him and continued to struggle against the chains.

"Why the fuck would I listen to you if you are just going to kill me anyways." Samantha continues to pull against the restraints.

Damiano sighed heavily, obviously annoyed. "I'm not going to fucking kill you." He started walking towards her, grabbing a key from his pocket. He crouched in front of her grabbing her chin making her look at him, "At least not yet." She glared at him. He used the key and unlocked her feet and then her hands from the chair. "Now don't—"

The second Samantha's hands were free she punched Damiano in the side of the face. And kicked him backwards a second later. Damiano fell back, before quickly getting to his feet.

"Why do you have to be so fucking difficult." Damiano said before pushing Samantha back into the chair. "Don't make me put the chains back on." Damiano glares at her. Samantha narrowed her eyes. She might have actually looked fierce if it wasn't for the dried blood on her face and the other bruising from the punches. Damiano turned his attention back to me, "So Fiona, what's your decision?"
