In the world, of the Pirate Era, people, which includes Pirates, Nobles, Bandits, Slaves, the Marines, the Revolutionary, and the World's Government had been divided. Pirates, the Revolutionary, Bandits, and Slaves have been wanted (dead or alive), by the Marines and the World's Government. Nobles just not caring about the Pirate Era, Bandits and Pirates just steal treasure around the world, Slaves are sold, and just being abuse and nearly dying because their masters doesn't care if they die and the Revolutionary are planning to fight off both the Marines and the World's Government, much like Pirates, and Bandits, and Slaves; and saving innocent lives, protecting Pirates, and Bandits, and freeing Slaves.

But all of that changed forever when another being came into the picture, and they were called: Demons. When the Demons first appeared, the world was driven into chaos and madness. Not only that the Demons appear, but also half of the Human race turned into Demons. The Demons know one thing that caused all this, that the Humans didn't know. It was all caused by the Demon Pirate King with his most prized treasure: The Demons' Treasure.

However, no one knows how did the Demons came in the first place and why, nor they didn't know what is the Demons' Treasure, however, when the King of the Pirate Demons, Leonhearts D. Graves, the most powerful pirate in the world, the most richest pirate in history, the most wanted man by the World's Government, reveals to everyone that he was the one who made the Demons appear during his sentencing, immediately, he was executed.

Before his death, he smiled a twisted smile, looking at everyone with his red eyes that are the darkest of red, with his hands restraining him at the back, said: "My Demons' Treasure, if you want it, then go ahead and find it. You can have all of it, but with Demons running a mock, I think that yer never find it! Just find it, and impress the world!"

With that said and done, his life ended like a flame on a candle with everyone witness the death of the most powerful and the most wealthiest pirate in the world. Somehow Graves' words made every Pirate, humans and demons, searching for the Demons' Treasure all around the world, with Pirate Humans and Pirate Demons fighting each other. Just a month after that happened, the World's Government leader was killed by Demons, much to everybody's shock, but that doesn't stop the Marines from doing their jobs, but it was no use. The Demons were proved to be way too powerful, and after losing many soldiers, the Marines finally gave in, and they were forced to work with the Demon that killed the World's Government leader.

Now, every human and demon are living together with peace and harmony; human civilians and demon civilians are living together and married and having children that are humans and demons, pirate humans are letting pirate demons to join their crew, human bandits and demon bandits are working and living together, both the Revolutionary and Marines are working and taking demons under their wings, noble humans and noble demons are working and living together, and human slaves and demon slaves are learning to work together to escape from their horrible life.

Yes, everybody is living together, although some half of the human race and half of the demon race still hated each other. That was 23 years ago when the Pirate Demon King's words had echoed throughout the Pirate's heads and their dreams begun when the men sail off to the Grand Line and to the New World, and that was also the day when the world had entered into a new Era: The Pirate Demon Era.
