I opened the window, I glanced at the rotting paintwork, it reminded me of my future. Unpromising, Mouldy and decomposing.
The cold air filled my lungs as I inhaled.
The feeling of the frost lining my body was like a breath of fresh air to a life of suffocation and tragedy. It filled me to my fingertips, they twitched at the feeling.
It was electricity running through my veins.
I closed my eyes and smelt the fragrance of freedom. I felt invincible, despite the vulnerability I was in.
I imagined a life of freedom and normality, just out of my reach. A little more effort and it was a reality.
A sigh of happiness escaped my mouth.
It was beautiful.
Beautiful.
But he would track me down...and kill me. I couldn't risk that. Not again.
Not after what happened last time.
Last time.
