chapter 1

Hayes' POV

Nothing really went on in my life. I did the same thing everyday, hang out with Evelin, meet some fans, fight with Nash, and play some football.

Nothing really changed, I know I shouldn't be complaining and all but suddenly I realized just how much I really wanted change in my life.

I needed something that was a constant in my life besides football. Evelin and I would constantly break up everytime we fought, and now that Nash lives in Los Angeles I don't see him as often as I did before. I needed something, anything, then I found her.

"Hayes! Hurry up we're going to be late, bro," my older brother, Nash, says. I hate going to meetings, they're so boring and Nash and Cameron are the only ones who talk.

"Okay I'm coming!" I said.

Although, I am kinda looking forward to this meeting because Aeropostale has agreed to make our clothing line worldwide which is pretty exciting. Yeah I know it's kinda weird to be excited about this but I'm in LA with Nash right now so I want to actually go out and see the city before I leave to North Carolina.

I quickly shower and get dressed in a plain grey shirt, jeans, and vans, the usual.

Cameron promised to take me to see a lot of Los Angeles today after the meeting, which went by fast. But next thing I know I'm on my way back home after seeing the Hollywood sign, going to a couple of beaches and eating lunch.

"Hey wanna go to Venice and penny board with the Jacks?" Nash said.

"Sure, but can I ask you something first?" I asked my bother. I really wanted to talk to him about something but I've never had the chance to talk to him, since he's been so busy.

"What's up Hayes?"

"Do you think school will be different this year? I'm more famous now and dad doesn't want me to drop out like you did even thought I'm really considering it right now."

"Different? Obviously, man. But I don't want to talk about this school shit, it's summer enjoy it."

I guess I'll just have to ask somebody else about this because he obviously doesn't understand and he doesn't give a shit about school, or me in general. I shouldn't have brought it up anyways, Nash is mature and all but not mature enough to talk about this.

"Alright. So, where are the penny boards at?"

Sofia's POV

5 hours.

5 more hours until I'm out of damn Arkansas and I get to see Hayes.

I think about him on my way to the airport while listening to the 1975. I can't wait to be in California, where my family is and where he is. And I'm glad I'm only going with my sister, Rose. She's my best friend and my only friend that knows how obsessed I am with "Magcon".

Of course I have other friends but none of them know about how much I love Hayes and all the boys. I haven't told them because they either wouldn't care or think I'm lame. I'm not sure why but nobody at my school seems to like them. It's weird, I know but for some reason nobody seems to be into them besides me.

My other best friend, Tori, doesn't even know. Which is why I chose to bring my sister along to LA and because I paid her $50 and promised to somehow get her to meet Mahongany, which seems nearly impossible but she's good company so I might as well try.

"I'm so happy we get to see our uncle, aren't you?" Rose says as we board the airplane after what feels like another 5 hours of going through security.

"Actually not really. Mom told me about how she thinks it's his time to go and I don't want to be there when it is. She also mentioned how the cancer has spread to his lungs and stuff" I said.

"Well I'm just happy that I'm finally out of the house and away from our over protective parents," my sister says. We both don't like how protective our mom and dad are. I know they "do it out of love" and that shit but we're not allowed to date and my sister is 17, almost 18, and she's never had a boyfriend. It's not that bad but sometimes we want to do the things normal teens do. I went behind their backs and had a boyfriend named Kaine, but we only dated for like a month.

"Me too, Rose, me too."

*ahhhh! I just finished my first chapter on Wattpad! I know it's kind of long but I want you to get to know the characters a little bit.

if you haven't guessed it yet, yes Hayes and Sofia are both in California and that's how the whole story starts.

I don't have an updating schedule yet but when I found out I will post about it so you guys can know when I add a new chapter. But I have a feeling it will be every Sunday and Wednesday.
