Chicago, Illinois
Chicago. The city what was once a central hub for mafia's and gangsters is now a place thriving with people who ain't afraid to stand up for themselves. I came here because, like any other people who had a dream, to live in Chicago. But that dream was short lived.
Sometime at 2003, a hacker broke into the grid and shut down power for the notheastern and midwestern United States and Ontario, Canada. Both of the governments are deffinitely pissed off when they found out about it. They began improving their information network so that they could keep track of information going in and out.
The ctOS, otherwise called the Central Operating System, was developed, in conjunction with the U.S. and Canadian governmen,t for years after the blackout. The people at first were stressed that the government were indeed spying on their own citizens but, they have gotten used to this after many days or months of protesting. It was the perfect security system for information but not for long.
Another hacker was able to use the system to its advantage and only a few were able to make use of it. Do the police know about this? Nah. The military? Neither. The government? Shame. But the people.... there is a saying that there are two types of dogs. the ones who guard, and the ones who watch. The government guards while people watch. But there are a few who does both.

It is an ordinary day in downtown Chicago. Weather report calls for cloudy with slight precipitation in the afternoon and light to moderate rain in the evening and temperatures will range from 68-62.6°F and traffic calls for light to heavy on some areas, mostly on the freeways. Well, that was what the newspaper in the trash bin said. The traffic is light so it was wrong about that. But it was right about one thing. The weather, it sure is cold. I looked both ways before I crossed and fixed my glasses before I placed both hands into the pockets of my trench coat.
People are doing their own thing. Drinking coffee, talking to friends, calling their loved ones.... the previleged. But there are others who are different. A beggar who is an Afghan war veteran, a wife who has trouble with her husband, and a businessman who is in fact a loan shark. I know because I looked him up on my phone.
Let me see...... the guy is Swedish born, raised in Montreal, and he has multipple arrest for fraud. Dont mind if I hack in mate. I casually walked to the nearest atm I can find.
*click, click* *tap* *ting*
There. I just got a thousand out of your million dollar overseas bank account. Now where was I. Ah, yes. I have to get to the nightclub before it starts to rain.
The nightclubs in this city are the place where party goers, teenage rouges, and socialites can gather up to interact. But this nightclub is special. The name of this place is The Galleria. A gallery by day, party club by night. What so special about this place? Nothing. But the owner is. He was accused.of a crime he thinks that he didn't commit but I think otherwise. DeMartino is a thug. A bad thug. The kind of thug that whoever comes in his way, he gets loose. Everyone knows that he commited a crime but no one knows the why. Only a few of us knows. And only a few us just don't sit and watch.
The Galleria is packed with VIP's and special guest. Bouncers are outside screening them the old fashion pat down for anything that is deemed dangerous. But at this age, the only thing that is dangerous is technology. I hid leaned behind a billboard and brought my phone. It may look like a simple Iphone with all the apps there but a single app is what makes it unique. The app to hack into ctOS. I opened it and information about the building is shown. CtOS is the central hub where information goes in and out and it also where one can control everything from atm's to the toufhest security system installed. So disabling the security system and com lines will not hurt a bit. But too bad for their guest. I scrolled through the system until it pop's up a window that says "Disarm? Yes or No". Of course. I tapped yes and all incoming and outgoing signal are blocked. I pity the guy who is calling his wife. I let myself in and the bouncer, out of confussion, just let me do as I please.
