"Vix! Vix! Vix, Vix, Vix!" I chase after my best friend, tackling her to the ground like she did to me this morning.

"What? Get off me you fat pig!" Vix pushes me off her chest, sitting up in her spot on the floor.

"I don't think Oliver will appreciate using that as a insult. But I need your help." I swiftly pick myself up and grab Vix's hand, pulling her upstairs to my room.

"You need a lot of help." She huffs, collapsing on my bed as I rummage through my closet. "You made me run up stairs. That's the most exercise I've done in a few weeks."

"You're hopeless." I laugh, pulling out several different colored shawls, spreading them out on the floor and bed around Vix.

"What are these for?" Vix sits up, fingering a white shawl I had set out.

"For me to wear tomorrow night, duh." I rest my hands on my hips, examining the shawls.

"No, you can't wear a shawl with that dress. You have to express your curves and silky smooth skin, bitch!" Vix starts gathering shawls in her arms to put back in my closet, before I run up to her and stop her.

"I have to wear a shawl, Vix. I can't...show my arms." I whisper the last part.

"Look here, missy," Vix sets the pile down onto the floor, then grabs my forearms. "The way I see it, scars are your proof that you are strong, and that you're not some prissy little bitch. The delicateness of the dress and the roughness of your scars will be enough to cause boners left and right."

"But Vix--" I'm cut off by my phone ringing in my pocket. I pull in out, and smile when a familiar name pops onto the screen.

I shush Vix, pressing 'Accept' and putting the device to my ear.

"Hey baby girl." Nathan's usual amusing voice greets me.

"I told you to stop calling me that. And what do you want?" I pad to my computer desk, spinning in the swivel chair.

"One, habits cannot be broken, and it suits you, two, that hurts, but I wanted to clarify something."

"What, are you still wondering if I'm lesbian?" I roll my eyes, sharing a look with Vix. "Wait, I'm going to put you on speaker 'cause Vix is here."

"Hi Nathan." Vix greets as I set my phone down on the bed between us.

"Hey Vix. Anyways, a guy from the team confronted me about you, and was asking a bunch of questions of what I am to you. Do you have a boyfriend I don't know about?"

There is a few seconds of silence, before me and Vix burst into fits of laughter.

"Me? Boyfriend?" I attempt to ask while I giggle, before quickly composing myself.

"Wait, but who was it that confronted you?" Vix asks.

"Umm....Anderson...Jason Anderson?"

There is another few seconds of silence, but this one isn't followed by laughter.

It's followed by more silence.

"J-Jason." I whisper to myself, then my shock quickly forms into anger. "Nate, I'll call you back."

I click off, and charge into my closet, closing the door after me.

"Miya, what are you going to do?" Vix knocks on the closet door.

"Don't worry about it, I'll handle it. You wait for me at the grove." I emerge from the doors dressed in a mini leather jacket, black jeggings, and combat boots. Grabbing the keys for my bike, I rush out of my room.
