Staying Strong

•Part Five•

When we get to the park I get out and take the drinks out of the back, I needed help so Isaiah helped me out and Kevin jumped out the back like nothing. Everyone started to pull up and I saw Gloria hop out of her car and come and took me away. "Who's that?" She asked pointed to Isaiah, I said that we were just friends. She said sure and walked away to go with Angel. Angel saw who I was with and came over and gave him the stink eye. I didn't understand why. We put the fire together and we all sat around it. I got cold so I went to get a blanket from the car with Isaiah trailing behind me. I asked him why and he said " People are liars and are dangerous". I said I can defend myself, he looked at me and smiled sarcastically. I walked back with the blanket and he wanted some too. So I gave him a little and he hugged me, then he held my hand in front of every one. Angel had a pissed look on his face. What was going on? Everyone hears gagging sounds and we all look to see Kevin through up. He was drunk again, Angel told us to leave and we did, Isaiah drove this time. I'm calling Angel to make sure Kevin's all right and he's not answering. Isaiah stops the car and puts his hand on my thigh, it's okay he tells me. I calm down. I felt safe with him.
