Hey, I'm Kaya Collins, you probably know me. I'm in the world-famous trio 'Love me Love'. 2 Years ago when Lauren and Sarah were 16 and I was 17 we won the X Factor USA. We were ecstatic when we found out. The feeling was indescribable.
Its the 8th october 2012 and next week me and the girls are performing our new single 'Behind the music'. We are going to perform on the x factor uk version.
This Morning I'd woke up first meaning it was my job to wake Sarah and Lauren up. My alarm had gone off at 6:30 am. Jeez! how early does Karen our manager want us to wake up. I clambered out of bed looking at myself in the mirror before begining to wake up the girls.
My brown hair was messy,but surprisingly looked alright. My dark blue eyes looked like they have for a long time, worn out. I had horrible grey bags under my eyes and tear tracks down my cheeks. Why do people call me beautiful, stunning? The truth is I'm not. I'm told I'm a strong person but I am broken. Every day is difficult to wake up to. The girls don't even know how miserable I am, even though day in day out I encourage fans to embrace life and be happy. It's getting hard to lie to the girls saying "I'm fine" daily.
I may seem confident but I'm a mess on the inside. That's exactly where the inspiration behind my tattoo comes from. It's on my left shoulder and it says 'I'm a mess.I confess'.
Looking down at my wrists I see the recent cuts scabbing over.I wear a lot of bracelets and long sleeved jackets and hoodies that I can pull down to cover the scars.
Walking out of my room I came face-to-face with Sarah's room first. The door was wide open and all I could see of Sarah was her vibrant red hair under the white sheets. Sarah had warm brown eyes that every guy fell for. She was naturally tanned and was stunning. I envy her confidence, she knows she's gorgeous but doesn't brag that's why people love her.
"Wake up cupcake!" my Huntington beach accent rang through her bedroom.
Sarah was awake.The only signs I need was her groaning underneath the quilts. Isn't she lovely in the morning? Note the sarcasm.
I began to shout again when Sarah shot out of the quilts sitting up straight."I'm up daisy bumpkins" Her texas accent was so comforting. She had that stereotypical texas accent which sounded amazing.
I was about to suggest that we go to wake Lauren when she skipped through the bedroom door in only a sports bra and a pair of blue pajama shorts. Her blonde hair bouncing as she skipped across to us. Lauren has bright green eyes that really are stunning. Her fair skin suits her but she's always wanted to be more tanned, which we accept.
We just sat on Sarah's bed chatting about our schedule for the fortnight. We weren't too busy just a few meet and greets,photo shoots,two performances and interviews. However there was one that stood out 'meeting the x factor contestants'. I was especially excited to meet a certain boyband. And that boyband was District 3.
