AN: Hello, all! Sunny here with my first ever story, a small one-shot about plot bunnies ad how they form. I guess. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Thanks bunches,

~Sunny :3

My mom drove into the parkway of a large, brick grocery store, a smile placed on her round face as she parked our red Subaru and turned to my older sister in the front seat next to her.  My sister- Lane, was her name - smiled back. My younger sister looked extremely tired, leaning cheek on her palm and resting her arm on the window seal. But almost as soon as the engine was turned off and the car was parked, she unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door, though did not exit until Mom and Lane had unbuckled and got out the car. Mom stuck her head back in the car and called, “You staying here, hon?”

“Yea, Mom,” I said softly. She flashed me a smile and closed the door behind her, taking my younger sister- Charlotte’s- hand and making sure Lane was following her before crossing the street that led to the large grocery store. I let a sigh out through my nose and copied the position Charolette had been in earlier. I let my thoughts wander, my bright blue eyes traveling around the driveway. Two cars away there was a girl crouching in a parking spot. She had her bag on the ground and her curly brown hair covered her face. I tilted my head to the side; though she looked as if she were searching for something, I noticed nothing on the ground.

Ah, the clever trick of reserving a parking spot. Obviously she’d want that one- it’s very shady, so she either has dogs or cold food she’d like to keep cool. Either that or she really did lose something and I can’t see it. Maybe I should go help. But before I could move a finger, a car pulled up in front of her. A woman who looked around her late twenties or early thirties stuck her head out of the car window. They had a conversation that seemed rather heated, and in the end the girl picked up her bag and left.

The other woman seemed as if she couldn't believe what had happened and pulled into the parking spot that she’d obviously dominated. I smirked.

Rather like two wolves fighting for dominance over the pack, I thought nonchalantly. Again my eyes moved around the parking lot, searching faces until I found one that particularly stood out. A young man was leaning against the brick building of the store, a mixture of what looked like sadness and happiness on his face. Brown swept hair covered his forehead, and underneath them were bright green eyes.

I wonder what's with that weird look on his face, I mused. Maybe he fell in love with a beautiful- no, no, too cliche. He fell in love with an... odd girl, with a plain face and- no, that won’t do at all. He fell in love with a girl that looks as odd as her personality. She has... barely colored hair. No! Green hair, and sharp blue eyes. Yes. And all the time she’s with him, she keeps telling him that it’s a natural hair color, but he doesn’t believe her. No, actually he does! But why would he believe that? Maybe he’s as odd as her, but that’d be boring... Oh, that’s a good one! What if he was the most boring man on earth! And his name is Bob, and he never get’s good grades, and he never get’s bad grades, and he eats what everybody eats, watches what everybody watches, thinks whatever he’s told- yes! And he meets her one day! But if he’s boring , he doesn’t exactly fall in love. Yes, if I were the most boring person in the world, I wouldn't know what love is. He- he thinks her interesting, and he’s mulling over the fact right now.

I finished my thoughts with a quick, reassuring nod to myself. Perfect! I felt as if I could stop there, but once my mind started going, it generally never stopped unless interrupted. As soon as my mind went back to thinking about the girl in the parking lot, another idea ticked in place in my mind.

That girl- she was signalling to him! The odd green-haired girl is actually part of a top-secret organization, and she wants a normal guy who doesn't stand out to help her! But, no, that’s not the only reason. Yes! She loves Bob!  And the girl in the parking lot was part of the green haired girl’s agency, and she was giving a secret message. About... about a tool! A tool that the government is after. I’ll have to figure out why later. Ugh, I feel like there’s something missing... but what? I have spies, government spies, two love interests.. no, wait! That’s it, that’s IT! The guy doesn’t like Green-Hair back and ever will! In fact, he’s infatuated with another girl that Green Hair despises and doesn’t trust! And then it’s revealed that the despised girl was only flirting with Bob to get to Green Hair! Perfect, perfect, PERFECT!

I was getting overly excited, but the information wouldn’t stop coming. I could already imagine going home and typing the whole story out.

So, now I have spies, one-sided love, love with the enemy, government spies, and action! What am I missing, what am I missing... It took me awhile to think of what it was that I was missing. Names. Of course, names. I closed my eyes to think a bit- nothing came to mind. I sat for a while, the hot sun beating down on me from through the window. I rolled it down so that cool air caressed my face and hair, and just when I felt I knew what it was going to be, just when the name was on the tip of my tongue, a loud *slam* sounded from beside me, making me jump slightly in surprise. I turned to see Charlotte jumping up and down in her seat. “What’s up, Char?” I said, using her ridiculous nickname that I made up for her. She didn’t seem to notice nor mind as she said,

“We got food! Lots of food! Cookies, cheese puffs, cheese sticks, chocolate chips, and fruit! Oh, and we got lasagna noodles so I’m pretty sure we’re going to have lasagna for dinner tonight!” By now Mom and Lane had finished packing the food into the back and were now in the two front seats.  I rolled my eyes at my younger sister and smiled, leaning my elbow on the window seal once again.

“Oh, hey Charlotte?” I asked suddenly, remembering the reverie I’d been in while they were in the store.

“Yeah?”

“What’s your favorite name?” Charlotte looked as though she was pondering on it for a minute before a smile graced her features.

“Artemis!” (Are-te-mese)

“Artemis? What kinda name is Artemis?” I asked, confused. My sister, who had done a report on the subject of Greek Mythos before, smiled brightly and said, “Artemis, the goddess of the moon.”

“Huh...” I said nonchalantly, leaning against the window and nodding.

Artemis, huh? Artemis... Artemis... suits her... Artemis. But maybe I should have it changed a bit, just to make her odder. Artemis... with a double a. Aartemis. Yes, I think that suits her very well.

Artemis, with a double a.
