When I began writing Behind Me (Part 1) and Behind Us (Part 2), I didn’t just want to tell a story of action, intelligence, or war. I wanted to explore what happens after the fire dies down—when heroes remove their armor and lovers find each other again in the silence.
This book is about family—not just by blood, but by choice. It’s about people who have lost, fought, and endured, yet still choose to love fiercely, protect loyally, and live truthfully.
