Bucky didn't stay long after the SHIELD agent repaired his fractured collar bone. Though Steve begged to differ, he insisted that he should leave about five minutes afterword. Steve didn't want to argue with his friend any longer, so he settled with giving him his cell phone number, saying to call if he needs anything. Bucky never planned on calling (he didn't even have a phone yet), but he took it anyways and left. Steve was frustrated Bucky left, but at least he knew that he was alive. Plus, he knew what he was going to for the next month or so, as he had said the day Bucky fell, "I'm going after Schmidt and I'm not gonna stop until all of HYDRA is dead or captured".
