Some time ago.
February 14th, Friday evening three years ago. The beach shore was warm under my feet, and the sun beamed down on me, despite being so late, worse than any summer prior to that. It was at least 108 degrees out, and I was tired of walking around aimlessly around people splashing in the water and sitting out in chairs, tables. The ocean carried a dull light down the horizon, soon to set itself and leave us with something closer, yet further. My migraine didn't go away, and walking through the sand with my shoes still on wore me down.
Finally, my butt sat down promptly at a blanket I left. Few seconds passed, and I was halfway asleep trying to block out all the noise. Trying to sleep had been a challenge at that point, one I wasn't in the mood for. Know when you get exhausted, yet can't sleep, but you really want to? That was a time like that. I didn't care about what went on around me, it was tiring to keep up with random, pointless events in my life that I had no interest in. I had just been tagging along with friends from school who happened to be there at the beach as well, and despite their attempts to hype this place up for what it really wasn't, I dropped my concern and interest altogether. I was tired of hearing them express how astounded they were at finally being out of their house, and the looks they gave me in mid-conversation that said to me "I'm antisocial and I'm special. I can one up any story you tell me, name anything that happened to you; I can impress everybody way more with a ridiculously asinine and pretentious story about my dog and getting a blowjob from a Chinese college girl you obviously don't know, oh, and she's in love with me, she's crazy about me, how about that? What do you say to that?"
Cynical. Tell me who wasn't, though?
I felt a foot on my ass. "Aaagh, stop, that's my ass hole," words were out of my mouth faster than I could wake up. My eyelids parted and I turned on to my side, looking up. There she was.
Juniper Brann stood there, darting her eyes to my squirming laughed a horse's neigh. I turned on to my back facing up, and propped my elbows against my blanket. "Oh my god, you are such a fag," she laughed some more. "Really? 'That's my ass hole!'?" Juniper imitated. "That's so gay, holy shit."
"Ugh. What are you doing here? I thought you and your friends were gonna go get drunk or something," I replied. Clearly embarrassed and my face welling up with red.
"Nah, they don't allow alcohol on this beach, babe." She sat down next to me and took a sip of what I assumed to be beer, but looked fizzy. Out of the corner of my eye, I inspected her face, careful so as not to get caught staring. Her beauty mark laid right below her left eye, placed perfectly in tune with the rest of her face. Juniper's hair climbed down her back, normally messy but this time being straight down and tidy compared to how she usually looked. She wore an interesting two piece swimsuit to say the least; tight and revealing, red and made her breasts look even bigger than the usually looked. Looking down I could almost swear they would pop right out and hit me in the fucking face, or smother me into oblivion. Oddly enough, she had another beauty mark right where her cleavage began to form. I stopped looking.
"What? I don't think they actually keep alcohol out of bea-" Juniper didn't let me finish, and instead fed me a grape from a bag she brought with her. She made cute little sounds and forced two more down my mouth with it, widening her eyes.
"There, there. Shut up, kay? You're with me. Don't worry."
"I wasn't worried about anything though."
"No, no, stop it. C'mere." Juniper pulled me toward her and didn't stop at me only leaning over her. I was on top of her. My hand had tried to balance myself, but she took hold of my wrist in her hand, and placed the palm of my hand firmly over her right breast.
