"Ah, Mikuo, I'm bored!" Miku whined as she and her brother walked on the sandy part of the public playground.
"Well, what am I supposed to do?" Mikuo said and grabbed Miku's hand, protectively.
"Ewwwww gross!" Miku yelled and pulled her hand back. Mikuo glared at her.
"Haku, you aren't boring!" A soft young female voice said.
"Y-Yes, I am!!" Said another female voice that hinted signs of crying.
Mikuo and Miku made their way to where the voices came from.
They spotted a tall girl with honey colored hair tied in a side ponytail and a slightly shorter girl with grayish hair pulled in a loose ponytail sprawled on the floor. Mikuo and Miku ran toward them.
"What happened?" Miku asked, staring at the girl with gray hair crying.
The blonde girl walked toward them, "Haku thinks that she's boring." She explained, her golden eyes were bright with sadness.
Mikuo slightly blushed as he notciced how pretty the girl was.
"Haku?!" A boy's voice said and a boy with the same gray hair and red eyes as Haku ran in.
"Neru!? What happened to her?" Dell asked as he knelt next Haku.
"D-Dell! Am..I..b-boring?" Haku asked, making a slight puppy dog face.
"Whaaaa? No, of course not!!" Dell said and hugged his sister in a tight hug.
"Neru...who's that?" Dell asked, pointing his tiny finger toward Miku and Mikuo.
"I'm Mikuo. And this is my sister, Miku." Mikuo introduced.
"Ah, well, I'm Dell, this is Haku." Dell pointed toward the now, slightly smiling, Haku.
"And that's Neru." Dell said, pointing his finger to the girl Mikuo thought was pretty.
Mikuo forced a smile and Neru did too.
"Kaito, stahp.." A girl with short brown hair walked, while tugging a boy with bright blue hair behind her.
"I just want to meet them, they look nice." Kaito whispered.
Miku smiled toward the blue-haired boy, and the boy looked away. Miku frowned.
"Hi." The girl with short brown hair said, still keeping the boy tucked behind her.
"Hi..?" Mikuo said awkwardly.
"I'm Meiko, this is Kaito." Meiko said, finally shoving Kaito in front of her.
"Nice to meet you." Dell said, now helping Haku stand up.
"Come on, Gakupo!" A girl's voice said and the children heard the sound of footsteps heading toward them.
"B-But.." A boy's voice whispered.
"Hi!" A girl with bright blue eyes and long blonde hair said.
A boy with long purple hair stood beside her.
"Gakupo..." The girl said, poking the boy with purple hair various times.
"I-I'm Gakupo." The boy whispered.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Lily." Lily said with a bright smile.
Neru smiled back.
A tall girl with pink delicate hair walked toward the group.
"I'm...Luka, I don't have many friends, so...can I be yours?" Luka mumbled.
Everybody nodded in agreement and Luka smiled brightly.
"Well, uh, would all of you like to come to the ice cream parlor with me and Miku?" Mikuo asked.
"YASS!" Kaito yelled happily, which earned a slight smack on the head from Meiko.
Everybody nodded and walked toward the ice cream parlor that was just next to the park.
The children soon were all licking their different flavors of ice cream.
"COME ON, LEN!!!" A girl's voice squeaked.
"FINE!" A boy's voice said anxiously.
A short girl with blue eyes walked toward the group, with a boy with the same blue eyes walked behind her.
"Hi~! I'm Rin!" The girl said happily.
"This idiot is Len!" The girl introduced the boy.
"Hey!!" Len puffed and crossed his arms over his chest, Rin giggled.
"Let's have fun!" Rin said.
Soon the children were all playing happily in the playground together. It felt like they knew each other for what seems like forever.
"Neru, is that a banana?" Mikuo said and Len's head perked up.
"BANANA?" Len yelled.
"Eh-" Neru asked but then was cut off by Mikuo pulling Neru's ponytail.
"You idiot!" Neru yelled and tackled Mikuo.
Soon Mikuo and Neru were pulling each other's hair and cheeks.
"I hate you!" Neru yelled.
"You're cute." Mikuo said.
"What?" Neru asked.
"Uh....I hate you too?" Mikuo responded.
"Is that a question?" Neru giggled.
