Gazing at Pratham’s photograph, Maya picked up a cigar packet from her work desk.
Just then, a firm male voice echoed in her mind —
"Maya! Are you really smoking?"

"No, Pratham! I’m not," Maya smiled softly. "I was just looking at it. See how beautiful and classy this packet looks?"

"Is that so? Well, that’s good. It’s better if you stay away from such things. Addiction can be dangerous."

As his last words lingered in her ears, Maya closed her eyes for a moment, then placed the cigar packet back on the desk.
At that moment, a knock sounded at the door of her study.

After casting a brief glance at the photo frame, Maya returned to her revolving leather chair, sat down gracefully, and said in a calm voice,
"Come in."

With her permission, a bald man stepped into the study.
His entire body, from head to toe, was inked with fierce-looking tattoos.

"Lukash! You’re quite early," Maya remarked.

At her words, Lukash replied in a stern tone,
"One of your tasks — perhaps the most important one — has been completed, Maya Ma'am. I came to report it to you."

Tapping her delicate fingers lightly against the desk, Maya looked at him with quiet interest.

Though she was eager to hear Lukash’s report, her every movement remained calm and composed.
There was a steady poise on her beautiful face — something rare for someone so young.

Observing his graceful, serene boss, Lukash finally spoke —
"Maya Ma'am, I haven’t yet traced the red Bentley. But I’ve discovered why Mr. Singhania’s DNA matched with Little Master’s.
And the reason is quite simple, Maya Ma'am. I’m sure you already have some idea."

Rocking her chair gently from side to side, Maya responded in her usual steady voice,
"Hmm. I had my suspicions, Lukash. But I needed it confirmed. That’s why I asked you to investigate."

At her words, Lukash exhaled quietly.
Until yesterday, even he hadn’t been able to believe it.
It was the question on everyone's mind — a truth so simple, yet so complicated.

Lukash placed all the medical reports he had gathered onto her desk.

One by one, Maya read through them carefully.

Even after reviewing every report, there was no change in the serenity of her expression.

As she began gathering the papers once more, Lukash spoke in a low voice —
"When I first saw the matching DNA report between Mr. Singhania and Little Master, I was confused too, Maya Ma'am.
For a moment, I even thought Mr. Singhania might have betrayed you.
But after reading these medical reports, everything became clear."

Hearing his words, Maya smiled faintly.

After placing all the medical reports into the desk drawer and locking it, Maya leaned back slightly and offered a calm smile.

"The world of medicine is incredibly complex, Lukash," she said softly. "The more you try to understand it, the deeper it pulls you in. There’s no end to its confusion and surprises."

"You're absolutely right, Madam Maya," Lukash replied with a nod. "In this field, nothing is ever simple or predictable."

Maya’s expression shifted, and she asked in a more serious tone,
"Anyway, what’s the update on Mr. Kashyap? His hearing was today, wasn’t it?"

By “Mr. Kashyap,” she meant Rohit.

The day before, Maya had taken the signed divorce papers from Rohit and handed him over to the British authorities. Rohit wasn’t just a mafia leader—he was a wanted criminal, listed among the most dangerous in the world.
