Chapter 2: Who I Am

Tourmaline's P.O.V

It's another day for me. I'm exploring when I hear this strange noise, and I see a beam of light appear. I run up to a large rock, and see 4 figures, a tall red skinned person with a black square hairstyle, a very pale skinned person with a bird beak like nose and a white gem on her forehead, a short, long haired person with purple skin, and most intriguing of all, is a very short boy with a red shirt with a yellow star in the middle. "Gems, we need to find Peridot. Spread out, and leave no stone unturned," the tall gem told the others. I'm wondering who Peridot is. Is she like me? Who knows. I see one of them walk towards where I'm hiding, and I run into one of the holes. I'm watching the strange people move around looking all over. They fascinate me. I think the boy sees me, because he's walking towards my hiding place. I scoot into the very back of the hole, afraid of what he'll do. He's putting his head into my hole. He must see my gem, because he gasps, and runs to his friends. I get out of the hole, and start climbing. I hide in the top hole, and I try to be as quiet as possible. The tall red one is now in my hole. She's grabbed me, and is taking me away. She is taking me away from my home. I'm kicking, screaming, crying, all at once. She and her friends warp me to a strange place. "I need to tell you something, something important. You are the daughter of our friend, Tourmaline. That's why you have that gem. You were meant to be here, with us. You're half human, like Steven. So you understand?" the tall red one said. Then, she's showing me the gems on her hands. Then, the purple one is showing me her gem on her chest. Then, the white one is showing me the gem on her forehead. And finally, the boy is showing me the gem on his stomach. I'm getting dizzy. Everything is becoming blurry. And now, I'm falling. The people are shouting, and now the boy has me in his arms. And now, I'm unconscious, my world nothing but darkness.
