Chapter 16

Lizzy POV

"Lizzy."

I shifted a bit, turning on my side. A pair of hands picked me up under my armpits. I slowly open my eyes. I realized that I'm now face to face with Luna. Blinking spastically I ask,

"What's going on?"

"It's time for you to wake up already sleepyhead. Mike is here already." I wiggle, trying to get down. She sets me down and follows me when I leave the bedroom. I hesitate when I realized I forgot my plushie. I turn and rush back to the bedroom. Reaching through the bars I grab Freddy by the arm and pull him through. Then I walk back to the living room. I stop dead in my tracks when I noticed Vincent standing in the hallway. I growl lowly.

"Hey Liz!" Mike called out, "come here." I walk around Vincent without losing sight of him. I come closer to Mike. Vincent sits down next to Mike. Glaring, I crawl on to the smaller couch.

"Hey kid, you don't have to be scared of ol' Vincent. C'mere!" I shook my head, scooting farther away. Luna came in, scooping me up and plopping me on Mikes lap. I cringe trying get some space between Vincent and me.

"Wow, she really doesn't like you Vincent!" Mike snickered, holding me closer. Struggling I try to get out of Mikes lap, but Luna caught me before I could escape. Sighing she said,

"You need to calm down Lizzy." Grumbling I tried to escape again.

"Liz? What's gotten into you? You're not acting normally." Mike looked worried. Vincent held out his hands.

"Give her to me." Standing up she placed me into his open arms. He cradled me close, taking advantage of the fact that I can't transform and rip his head off.

Luna POV

Lizzy looked pissed at me. Her eyes flashed to the same color as Goldie's for a split second before turning back. Her face scrunched up before she let out a loud wail, causing us all to jump.

Lizzy POV

Taking advantage of the shock I was able to get out of Vincent's arms and make a break for it. I got about half way around the couch when Luna gave a strangled gasp and came tearing after me. Before I could teleport she snatched me in her arms.

"Lizzy!" She bellowed, "Knock it off! I never-" I felt the anger build in me so I leaned forward and bit her on the arm. She shrieked and tossed me back. I landed on my butt a few feet back. That hurt. That actually hurt. In the inside I knew I shouldn't cry, the fall just stunned me. I felt tears pour from my eyes. I started to sob uncontrollably. Luna stared at me stunned. She took a step forward.

"Lizzy I-" ignoring her I turned and ran down the hallway and back into her room. I lunged underneath the bed, crawling as far as I could. Three pairs of feet appeared next to the bed.

"Where'd she go?"

"In the closet?"

"She's not on her bed." I backed away as Vincent peered under the bed.

"She's over here! Under the bed!" He moved and Luna took his place.

"Lizzy, sweetie," she said a gently as possible, "mommy's not mad at you at all. I just want-" a knock interrupted her. Startled she looked back.

"Mike can you get the door?"

"Sure." We heard his footsteps walk down the hallway. The door opened. I think he started talking to the person because Mike shouted,

"Hey Luna! Do you know anyone named Goldie?" We both froze. Luna stood up and shouted,

"Yea, he's my boyfriend!" The door shut and two pairs of footsteps came up the hall.
