Santa Carla, Murder Capital of the world.
"Would you turn that damn tv off Molly?" My mom said very sternly. I got up and reached for the nob but before i could do so my father stepped infront of me and turned it off himself. "Why don't you go ahead and head off to bed darling. Me and your mom got some discussing to do." I took that as the signal to get out of there real quick, things were gonna get ugly, fast.
I could hear their voices through the walls of my bedroom. Always arguing with each other, it gets kinda old hearing the same arguments over and over again. I need some fresh air, I thought to myself. So i decided to open my window a little and sneak out just for about 5 minutes. Wouldn't hurt a thing.
Boy was I wrong.
As I was sitting in the grass soaking up the clean air and looking at the stars, i heard something from the distance. I didn't pay it any attention at first, but then it got closer. At first i thought it was just the wind blowing, but the wind didn't really sound like the thing i was hearing. I leaned up just enough to see a boy with brown hair,a blue hoodie, and black pants riding my direction.
"Josh? Is that you?!" I couldnt help blurting out, it had been 3 years since we last saw each other. "Sure is!" I jumped up and threw myself in his arms. "I've missed you so much! Where have you been?" He just stared at me and grined really wide. "Come with me Molly. There's something I wanna show you." I looked at him and back at my house with both my parents in it. Should i really go with him? What if my parents find out im not in my bedroom...
"I can't Josh...My parents..They'll know something's up. I just know it. I have to stay here, I'm sorry." With that i turned to walk back through my window when all of a sudden i felt a hand on my shoulder. "Molly, it'll be worth it, i swear. You won't regret it, I promise." Josh held his hand out for me to take while looking me in the eyes with his crispy brown eyes. I sucked in a little breath and with one last look inside my bedroom, i turned around and grabbed his hand.
While he peddled his bike, i rode along on the bars in the front. We slowly but successfully got to a small little cave underneath what seemed to look like a lot of dirt. Once we came to a stop he got off and told me to follow him inside. As he walked a little ahead of me, i was starting to regret ever agreeing to come here in the first place. Josh turned around and motioned me to come get beside him. I took my signal and walked slowly up to his side.
Inside the cave were two other kids that looked about our age, 16. I smilied lightly and they just grinned like goof balls. I officially knew i didn't wanna be in their anymore. Something about the two boys made me feel uncomfterble. So i turned to Josh and kinda tapped him alittle with my elbow. He turned around and laughed at me which made everything ten times creepier.
He smiled really big revealing what seemed to be...fangs. Like a vampire...But that couldn't be! Vampires don't exist.
As if he knew what i was thinking, he smiled even more. I took a few steps back and was getting ready to run, but it was already too late.
I blacked out. When i woke up all i could remember was the pain in my neck from what felt like i was stabbed there. I looked around to see where i was and then i remembered...I was still in that cave. I got up and dusted off my clothes trying to be as silent as i could incase one of them happened to still be there. I started to walk out, but as soon as i reached the sun I instantly felt pain, like i had been burnt. I jumped back holding my scream in. I looked around for something to cover up with away from the sun. I saw Joshs hoodie and someones sun glasses. I took them and put them both on.
It only helped a little but it managed to get me home. As soon as i got there i ran to my window and crawled in. I had to find out if my parents knew i was gone all night or not. I walked out into the living room where both my parents were. "Glad you finally decided to get up." My mother, still being cranky i guess, said as soon as she saw me. "Ignore your mother. Did you sleep good?" I went over to hug my dad, "Not really, but i plan on taking a nap soon." With that i started heading to my room.
But then, strangely, my mother stopped me. "Wait a minute!" I looked back at her waiting for her to say something else. "Walk back in front of that mirror again." I looked at the mirror hanging on the wall right before you get to my room. How long has that been there? I thought quietly to myself.
I did as she said and walked past it again. My mothers, fathers, and my very own mouth dropped open. You couldn't see my reflection. "You've been doing things with black magic Haven't you!? Your a witch! A witch!" My mother just kept yelling witch at me, i didn't know what to do. I did the only thing i could think of which was run away.
I ran out the door and past all our neighbors houses. I just kept running. The sun was hurting me which made me run even faster to a shaded area.
I finally found a resting place in an old abandoned cabin way out in the woods. I will admit, it did look pretty scary. But i had nowhere else to go, no one to turn to. I knew i would never be able to go home again. Josh had done something to me that i would never be able to get rid of.
Then I woke up.
I hate having dreams about what happened in the past, I thought to myself. I slowly got up.
I put on my favortie blue hoodie along with my ripped red plaid jeans. I opened the cabin door to my not so new home anymore and started heading out to find someone to feast on. Little did i know I was in for a surpirse.
