You knew about the curse and developed a crush on kyo. It was 10 months scenic you fond out. You and Kyo were in the woods when kyo's bracelet fell off. You were so scared. He was this thing he smelled like 12 dead body's. He backed away. All your fear left within 5 seconds remembering this was the loving guy that cared for you.
