The Realm of Faes were different from the stories told to children. The Faes had set of rules, which if not followed would be deadly for said Fae. When thought about Fae realm , it is often assumed only fairies reside there but the truth is all creatures other than humans lived in that realm. Everyone there calls this realm Starcell. Though the weight of the punishment is thought to be same for all the creatures , fairies are treated the worst when it comes to this. The only solace the fairies or any creatures had was because of the policy : ' If not proven guilty all is innocent' . It favors the fairies the most , after all they are the masters of manipulation. The kingdom of the Faes was ruled by  the King and Queen aided by their advisers who were mainly different types of species representing their clan or community. 

The King was just and hardly ever biased. He thought like him the whole realm was just and never condone any injustice and evil. Unfortunately it was not so. The royal couple was graced with the moon, whom they named Serenity. Her beauty the King praised to anyone who listened, yet no one was graced by her presence even when the Queen was around. It seemed odd for the infant not to be attached to her parents, but no one seemed to care. To the world of politics it was just another curiosity that did not matter.  

On the heir's birth the king had sensed  her power to be too immense for her to control and that it would bring death upon herself. His only solution was to use a spell to restrict her powers to a level of a human being, which would only be lifted when she would be both physically and mentally strong enough to defect his best general, Richard . The princess was not allowed out of her room for safety from wrongdoers. Though the room was spelled by the King himself, it had loopholes. The princess' constant absence and the King and Queen's high praise brought about suspicion  among many. It also brought a chance for wrongdoers to overpower the royal couple. Two in particular had devised a plan to take away the precious princess away from the palace and show her the real world. after 2 months of intense research and finally finding the loopholes of the spell, the two wrongdoers had fled the palace to a corner of the realm with 6 months old Serenity.

Upon the disappearance of the heir, the royal family was devastated. Scouts were sent all through out the realm, but they came back empty handed. When the last of the search party came empty handed, the family had finally accepted their fate and mourned for a month privately. Through out month storms and earthquakes were regular occurrence in the realm. Though most thought it was the doing of the King it was truly the doing of the young lost heir. After the month the King was back to his duties but the family was never the same anymore.
