It's a long story

My life begins

Not my life life but my social life. You see before today, me and my friends had very insignificant social life's but today was a turning point.
We went to our weekly movie and noticed that no new movies were out. With nothing to watch, Jess suggested lunch. On our way to the restaurant, I found a phone lying on the floor. I picked it up and I almost did when I turned it on. The phone belonged to Kayde, my day one crush.
I called the home number saved in his contact list. HE ANSWERED!
"Hi, this is Kayde."
Completely stunned, I couldn't even response
"Ummmm hello this is Kayde"
I finally gathered the strength to respond.
"Errrr.... Hi, this is Rachael. I go to your school"
"Oh yes, Rachael, Mrs. Besses science class right."
He knew me???? Like how!?!
"Oh.... Yea.... Mrs Besses class. I was just calling you to let you know I found your phone"
"Really. Wow that's amazing, thank you. My mom was going to kill me! Where are you?"
I still couldn't believe who i was speaking to.
" well right now, I'm at jjk mall."
"Perfect, I'm here with my friends. Where abouts are you?"
What, I wasn't dressed for this. I haven't mentally prepared to meet Kayde the great yet, NO.
"Ummm well I'm at Burger king. "
What was in doing! Social suicide that's what!
"Cool, don't move, I'll be there in 10."
Jamie turned to me, she knew what I had done too.
"So I guess you're finally going to talk to Kayde instead of just drooling over him."
Her words were so true they hurt.
"I guess so........"
There was nothing else I could do. I mean all in doing is handing him the phone and I had 7 of my closest friends with me so this will be a breeze.... Right??
My deep intellectual thoughts were interrupted with a seductive voice calling my name.
"Rachael, you are a life saver"
It was Kayde. He was here. Behind me. In real life.
Ok breathe, turn around, hand over phone. SIMPLE
but as I turned my head I was greeted with a rude shock. Behind me was not Kayde. Behind me was Kayde, Chris, James, Mason, Dylan and the rest of the schools football team.
"Hay Kayde. No stress. Here's your phone." Yup that's what I was meant to say but it came out as
" Ha ha ha, yea looks like I, I mean you lost your um, your, your, your, yea here you go."
I could here the snickering behind me from my friends.
"Thanks Rach."
From nowhere, a tall, big guy includes his input.
"Are you not going to introduce me to the chick!"
Crap! Excuse my French but this is bad. More socialising
"Oh sorry, this is Rachael and her friends Astra, Andrea, Olivia, Megan, Meloni and Nikki. "
Then there was just silence.... For like and hour or so..... Ok fine, maybe it was like 5 seconds but it was still really long. Mr Rude broke the silence,
"well chikita, I'll be surprised if you have a boyfriend."
Like seriously what's that even supposed to mean!
"Ladies would you like to join us for lunch.?"
Oh Kayde, so polite!
Loud mouth Nikki just had to do what Nikki does....
"Come girls, let's go"
....... Nikki wants to die today.......
