The Smith's trusty cart arrived at their new estate shortly before the stroke of midnight. As they pulled up, Annelyn began to laugh. "We are here! At last! My new home!My new home!" She cried with joy. The estate was small compared to it's neighbouring properties, but far bigger than anything the family had seen. "Her majesty's palace does not even compare to this ! " Annette said with excitement . The property truly was huge.  The house was double story, with a stable attached to the house. The stable lead to a large field , surrounded by a pretty Pickett fence. Theodorus led  the family's horse and cart into the stable , and began to unload the 5 trunks that sat at the back of the cart. They were carried to the door of the stable, which lead into what appeared to be a servant's common room. "Did the duchess holiday here?" Asked Annette with a joking smile. The family laughed, and the small puppy that Annelyn held gave a bark of agreement. The room was huge , the wood that lined the floor elegant, the furnishings extravagant. The family walked through the room in disbelief  , wondering if this was all just a dream. They opened the mahogany door on the far end of the room, and were shocked yet again. They had arrived in a hallway, at the far end was the front door, and all along the sides was a series of doors. The Smith family continued to explore, lighting chandeliers and candles as they went.

After a full hour of exploring, Annelyn began to feel weary. Carrying the pup with her, she went up the staircase the sat near the front door. She walked across the landing to her bedroom , and opened it's annoyingly creaky door. Her pale blue bed sat under the window, at the foot of it a stylish red trunk with Ivory handles. The Smith Family had always had a good deal of money, but never this much. It wasn't really the family's choice to move to an extravagant country estate, but a great-great Aunt's. Theodorus had never met his great- aunt Lillian , but that didn't seem to bother her when she decided to make Theodorus Smith the heir to her fortune. Though, there wasn't much else family to choose from. Never the less, the Smiths had ended up on the luxurious country estate. Annelyn slipped into her cream nightgown, and rolled into bed with the puppy in her arms. She'd decide what to do with it the next day.
