It has been five weeks since I received that anonymous text message, but I deleted it before starting conversation with Skylar. Speaking of Skylar, she's been living with me since Finn and Amy left my house. She's been helping me around the house and with work a bit, but the best part of having her around is that she makes me feel not so lonely as I felt before. I felt this sense of loneliness even when Amy tried so much to make me happy, but I couldn't shake it off since the accident. I've been depressed and snappy since that dreadful day, but having Skylar around has made me feel cheerful and calm. Almost like I was before.

"Hey, I'm almost finished with breakfast. Do you want coffee?" Skylar asked as she popped her head through the door of the office.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a minute." I said glancing up before going back to filling out paperwork.

I yawned before going on to finish the paperwork before the due date. I quickly tried to finish the work, but let out a frustrating grown, letting the papers fall down on the desk. I then slid my hand down on my face before resting my hand against my temple.

"I thought you said you were going to be down in a minute." Skylar said, startling me from my frustrating state.

I quickly looked up towards the door, to find Skylar leaning on the side of the doorway with her arms crossed and an amused expression plastered on her face.

"I'm sorry, I guess I got too consumed with this paperwork that time just passed by." I sighed before rubbing my eyes and taking off my reading glasses before placing them on the desk.

I kept my head down while I heard Skylar's heels clack on the hardwood floor coming closer and closer towards me, before I felt her moving my wheelchair from my desk. I slowly lifted my gaze to meet her concern-filled eyes.

"Hey, don't stress yourself out over work. Just relax or you're not going to get anywhere when you're frustrated." Skylar said with a reassuring smile.

"But the deadline is next week. I need to check over my work in case there's any mistakes I have to correct. I can't afford any distractions." I said with a groan.

"You said that the deadline is next week, right?" I nodded. "Well, if it's next week, stop worrying about it and relax. You've been stressing about the project since two days ago. Why don't I take you to this cool club I know? Have you heard of Lezzers?" Skylar asked while biting her lower lip.

"I don't know." I replied hesitantly.

"Nonsense. You need to relax and this is exactly what you need. So, tonight at nine, we're going to go to Lezzers and have some fun, for once, okay?" Skylar explain with an encouraging smile.

I opened my mouth to speak, but my eyes landed on Skylar's puppy dog eyes causing me to close my mouth and smile. I slowly nodded before closing my eyes, before chuckling softly.

"Fine, we'll go to Lezzers tonight." I said with a soft laugh before hearing a small giggle.

I opened my eyes to find Skylar smiling down at me before making her way towards the door. Before she headed out, Skylar turned around and looked at my direction, sending me a small laugh before saying.

"I knew you would say yes."

I rolled my eyes before smiling and following after her towards the kitchen.

I want to apologize for the short chapter, but I'm going to try to keep updating and moving this story along. I'm sorry if the storyline seems to be rushing on, but I'm trying to focus on some other stories which I'm trying to fix up and publish, so you my readers can read, but I've been emotionallly unstable and uninspired which has been hindering my progress.
