I live to see your face, my love, but why must you run away from me once darkness overrules light?
I try to reach you all the time, but I can only see you once it is dark, otherwise my face will deliver traumatic imagery.
So why must you gallop away from my grasp once you flick off the switch? I chase after you and I really do try, my love, but your little legs are too fast for me and you slip away out of the hallway.
This is why I must resort to do a handful of the things I do, simply because you flee in the other direction once the passageway goes pitch black.
It is practically impossible when you do the same stunt when you crawl up the stairs. I promise I don't bite, so why do you sprint once you feel my presence approaching?
I'm only trying to see your beautiful face.
