Pain. That's all that the little girl named Alice felt as her father's hand repeatedly made contact with her body. He spat out insults and hurtful words as he continuously beat her, not ceasing until she bled. This was a normal thing for Alice and her family, though. Her father was a horrible man, a monster, who enjoyed inflicting pain upon his family pain. He would come home and beat whoever was the closest. Today it was unfortunately Alice.
Alice waited for her father to hit her again when her oldest brother, Andy, stopped him.
"Stop it! Leave her alone! She's just a little girl!" Andy screamed.
"Shut up you stupid little shit!" The father grabbed Andy by his caramel colored hair and punched him hard, then proceeded to beat him. Andy cried out in pain as he dealt with the punishment of standing up to his father. Alice watched in horror as her brother's skin reddened and some of his bones broke. His nose began to bleed as well as various areas of his body. His eye was black and he had bruises all over in seconds.
Alice's mother ran in after a while to save her son from further harm. Little did she know that this would mean her demise. She pulled Andy out of the father's grasp and pleaded for him to stop, knowing full well that he wouldn't. Alice's big sister and the oldest of the siblings, Lillian, aided her mother in standing up to the father. With Lillian standing up to the father, the mother ran and hid the children in a cupboard in the kitchen.
There was a shriek and the sound of flesh ripping apart, followed by heavy and angry footsteps going into the kitchen after the mother. All of the siblings remaining watched in terror as they witnessed their mother being brutally beaten to death by the father before creating a hole and crawling out of that awful house. They all agreed to change everything so they wouldn't be tracked. They became the Winters family, the kind nobodies, instead of the Hållbringër family, a brutal and royal family of an alien race called Dementions. They each opened a portal to different dimensions and made their escape.
That was 2,000 years ago.
