Infinity Year

It all went downhill after that boom. A blast that took the lives of over half of the population. It all started with the election of Lilian A. Brown. The nations first woman president. They thought a woman would add peace to the nation, correct? Wrong. Not when the woman's heart is more rotten than the devil's. When President Brown came into power, the economy became worse than in the Great Depression. Added onto that were natural disasters, causing millions to lose their homes and most likely die. That's when World War III began, and they started recruiting all men 16 and older. My brother Nick got recruited, so we hid. Unfortunately my mom and dad died from X, a disease that started after the war began. It was called X because as soon as you caught it, you were dead, x-out. The worse thing is, the source of the disease is unknown.Brown didn't even care, she loved to see our pain and suffering. This woman saw all people as amounting to nothing, so she planned to destroy them all if they weren't perfect. I wish it wasn't like this. I wish it was like it used to be where I'd feel the adrenaline rush from the simple thing called life; something I didn't appreciate. Now I have to hide from my own shadow. There are 7 of us hiding, in the rubble we used to call the nations capitol. Me, Nick, Alex, Marcus, Sky, Kay, and Zoe. We plan to kill "Madame President." What's my name? It's Naomi. What's the year? I don't know. Things got so bad we lost count, so everyone just calls it the Infinity Year.
