Life was perfect for me. I had my amazing mom and cool dad, a nice group of friends, and the best grades I could ask for. I was a smart kid that knew a lot. What I didn't know was that a week after my eighth grade graduation, my parents told me that they were having a divorce. That news of that was like Little Boy hitting Hiroshima. It was devastating and shocking. From what I knew, Mom had never argued with Dad. They seemed to be perfect for each other. I didn't know though apparently, as they realized that they weren't meant for each other. This also brought the news that I was going to a boarding school called West Hill in the middle of nowhere called Inera (God, that was a weird name for a town).

Before I knew it, I was on a plane to the Midwest. I barely had any time to explain it to my friends what had happened with my parents. So now I am on my plane, flying to my new life (talk about metaphorical). As the plane leveled thousands of feet in the sky, I pulled up the movies on my screen and decided to watch a Disney movie. Though it was happy and had comedy written all over it, it represented the direct opposite of what I felt. On every comical part of the movie, it painfully reminded me of my dad and all of his corny jokes. I think at one point, I shed and tear and dozed off  my pain and sadness.

To my luck (God, I hate when that kind of thing happens), I awoke before we landed and was able to gather my thoughts and possessions and exit the plane.
