Hi. I am Emily Fairmon, a regular 15 year old that happens to be drastically in love with science. So naturally when I'm given an assignment to create an advanced chemical equation while also using those chemicals in a demonstration, I tend to get carried away. I wanted to make my own substance which would hopefully get me halfway into my science career. Lets just say that perfect chemical didn't arise and start from the beginning shall we?
"Hand over the nitrogen." I order, holding out my hand. My best friend, Arianna Parkway, drops a bottle of liquid nitrogen into my waiting hand and watches as I carefully dip a syringe through it.
"Are you sure you're doing this right Emily? I don't want something to explode..." she fidgets nervously.
"Nope! But I have it all under control, don't worry." I say and Arianna's face goes pale. I smirk and continue on with my work.
At least an hour later, I have a brand new, never-seen-before chemical that changes color. I call it: Emilysium! Creative, huh?
"Good luck with your explosives Emily. Don't hurt yourself." Arianna waves farewell with such a heartfelt gaze, I can't help but wonder if I was right to do this. But, I guess I had to something in life, right? Wooh, scientist!
I pull out my iPhone and snap a picture at the perfect moment when the Emilysium is a beautiful shade of green.
"There. History made right here, in my hands." I send the picture to my other friends Charlie, Ryder, and Brett and they reply, "Don't die."
I shrug and tread upstairs and out of the basement of my house, finding an apple and crunching it happily.
Little did I know that when I left, turning out the lights would make my creation something totally different. I ate my apple while completely oblivious to what was happening downstairs.
In the beaker of Emilysium, a little spiky blob formed. That night, it mutated into a tiny, microscopic thing
that would soon become the cause of mass chaos.{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}{~}
"Emily Fairmon, you are presented with the Nobel Peace Prize for being the youngest scientist ever to create a new element! The Emilysium shall now be added to the Periodic Table of Elements and it will be known across the world of your great achievement!" the president hands me a fancy plaque and I smile, waving princess-style to the crowd.
"Thank you, thank you! Let me just say, it's truly an honor to be here! The Emilysium will-" I break off as a scream echoes around the plaza. Someone points at my bottle of Emilysium next to me and faints.
I look over and see the liquid has transformed into a monster that is now on rampage around Time Square. I am about to run when it tackles me and the last thing I see is its hooked fangs.
