I got up the next morning and shook Tim. "Baby we have our appointment." "Hmmm okay." I kissed his forehead and got out of bed. I was eating a piece of toast when he walked in. "How are you feeling?" "Tired and a little nausea." "I'm sorry." He fixed himself some toast to go and we got in the car. "I can't wait to know what we are going to have!" "Same!" We get to the office and are taken back quickly. I sat on the table and Tim in the chair next to me. There was a knock and a nurse walked in with a doctor behind her. "My name is Doctor Gellar." "Nice to meet you." I said shaking his hand. "So this is your first visit?" "Yes sir. I found out just a few weeks ago but have been too busy to get in." "That's okay. We will just confirm how far along and do a quick ultrasound to check everything. Marge will take some blood and we will be right back." "Okay." Marge walked over and got the amount of blood needed then left. "What do you want?" Tim asked me. "Honestly I really want a girl." "Same. There doesn't need to be another baby boy McGraw." I started laughing as the nurse came back in with the machine. "Well Faith you are about 8 weeks along." I look at Tim who was adorably smiling. "Okay, this gel might be a little cold." "Okay." I said as she lifted up my shirt and put the gel on it. "Oh my!" I squealed. "That cold?" Tim said trying not to laugh. Marge used the wand to move the gel around, then she began to look at the screen. "See that?" She said drawing a circle around a little dot. "That is baby McGraw." "That's our baby?" Tim asked. "That is! I will print you a picture and we will set up your next visit." "Thank you." I said. "You have a baby growing in here!" he said poking my stomach. "Yes!" I said giggling. I wiped the gel off and pulled my shirt down and Tim helped me off the table. We walk out to the desk. "Okay Faith, he wants you back here in about 3-4 weeks or sooner if you need it. Here is all your prescriptions and we look forward to helping you throughout your pregnancy." "Thank you." Tim and I got in the car and drove to the pharmacy.
