Chapter 8

I opened the door, slowly.

The hallway was darker than it was only minutes ago when Jane had walked out.

I took a step out of my room and closed the door behind me.

"I don't like having her here, she hasn't gone insane yet, who knows what she'll do if slendy doesn't do something soon!" A voice said from the door to the right of me.

"I like her." Another voice said.

"We all know about your 'crush' Ben" the first voice said.

"I do not like her!" Ben said.

"Sure pip squeak" Jeff's voice said.

I walked over to the open doorway, and peeked inside.

Everyone was sitting in a circle.
Jeff, Ben, masky, and Jane were the only one's I recognized.

Beside masky was a hooded boy with a black mask and a red frowny face.

Beside Ben was a boy with a blue hoodie and a blue mask with black stuff coming from the eyes.

Beside him was a boy who was twitching and ticking, he was wearing a mouth guard and orange goggles, with a grey and tan jacket that had a blue hood.

Beside Jeff were two black and white clowns with pointed noses, one was a boy and the other a girl, and beside the two of them was a girl with one clock eye and one green eye, she was wearing a white tank top and a fuzzy jacket.

"What's that?!" The hooded boy suddenly said, pointing to me.

"Who's there?!" Jane asked.

"Rake is that you?" The boy clown asked.

"Maybe it's smile?" Jeff asked.

"Or grinny?" The clock eyed girl offered.

"Show yourself Sally." Ben said.

I stepped into the doorway.

"What are you doing?! I gave you direct orders!" Masky said, outraged.

"I-I just was curious, I'm sorry I'll go back to my room now..." I trailed off.

"No! You're already here so might as well introduce you to everyone, if slendy says anything it's my fault" Jeff said, smiling though he didn't have to with his cut in smile.

"I'm hoodie" the hooded boy said.

"I'm laughing jack and this is laughing Jill, want some candy?" The boy clown said.

"Clockwork" the clock girl said.

"T-Ticci T-Toby" the twitching boy said.

"Eyeless Jack" the blue hooded boy said.

I nodded and looked around the room until my eyes landed on Ben who was staring at me.

"Can you feel the love tonight?!" Laughing Jack started singing really off key.

"Shut up LJ!" Ben yelled while blushing.

"What's with all the commotion?" Slender's voice came from the hall.

Ben quickly stood up and grabbed my hand, rushing me to the wall door and pulled me inside the tunnel with him.

"Wha...." I couldn't get the rest out before Ben put his hand over my mouth.

"Shhhh he will hear you, be quiet and let's get you to your room" Ben whispered.

We walked toward my wall door and quickly slipped inside the now open wall.

"That was close" Ben said as he closed the wall.

"What would've happened if he saw me?" I asked.

"We would all be punished." He said, turning around and walking towards me.

"I'm sorry..." I said, putting my head down.

"For what? I would take any punishment for you." He said, putting his hand on my cheek and brushing away some of my hair.

"Why? I'm a nobody who lost her parents and got raped and almost killed by her uncle! I'm just a girl, nothing special." I said, tears streaming down my face.

"And I'm a ghost who drowned and haunts a video game. Jeff's a teen who was caught on fire and cut a smile in his face and burned off his eyelids, not to mention he killed his family." Ben said "we all have problems around here, bad pasts, but we all still have friends, and a family that accepts us, you're not alone."
"Why are you all here?" I asked.

"The same reason you're here. We've all got problems and slender took us in despite our pasts, we work for him." Ben said, his hands now on my cheeks.

"Sally, child may I come in?" Slender asked from the other side of the door.

"Just a second!" I hollered back.

Me and Ben crossed the room, quickly. He opened the wall door and stepped into the tunnel.

"I'll see you later, and one last thing..." Ben trailed off, and pulled me into him, kissing me.

"Bye..." I said when we pulled away.

He waved and closed the wall.

"You can come in slendy!" I yelled.

The door opened and in walked slendy, pissed.
