Elastic Heart

There she stood watching him happy with his wife in his embrace. Then he kissed her, Regina felt her heart break, just watching Robin kissing Marian. She felt the tears threatening to pour down her face, she had to get out of there, she couldn't let him see her fall apart. Within seconds she is out of there and she uses her magic to bring her to her house. Regina stood on in her house by her flint door. Just think of the sight of Robin with Marian in his arms. The tears start to pour. Another one of her relationships down the drain. She has been able to concur everything except love. They were supposed to be one but if you are one, half of you doesn't go and hug another. Just another battle that Regina had to fight on her own, rebuilding her walls and preparing her self for the emotional battles ahead. She just wanted to be able to love so badly but there was always something to take it away from her. She walked upstairs and cried herself to sleep.

The next day she prepared her self for the day ahead pretending to not be phased by what had happened. She knew she shouldn't have have let Robin in it was to easy, she knew something would happen but she didn't listen she was blinded by love. Love that has now disappeared in her eyes. Now she knows though, now she knows not to let anyone in. Now she doesn't trust anyone. There was a knock at her front door so she went to answer feeling she knew who it was. She swung the door open.

"Regina! I am so sorry, about last night. I need to talk to you," he stepped a little closer to the door," please."

She didn't say anything she just moved so he could walk inside, and she closed the door behind him. They walked into her living room and then she gestured for him to continue. He took a moment to look at her, normally he could see right through her walls but right now he couldn't tell. He didn't know if she was angry or sad and broken, he just couldn't see anything.

"Regina, I am very sorry. I don't what came over me last night. I just saw her and I was so happy. But I don't want to be with her, Regina I want to be with you," he moved closer to her and tried to grab her hand but she moved it quickly and moved back.

"Robin I can't do this, I can't be with you. This was mistake, I shouldn't have kissed you, we shouldn't have been together," she said not making eye contact. She didn't want to be vulnerable to him again, she didn't want him to have such a strong hold on her emotions. A tear started to role down her face but she quickly wiped it away, she couldn't let him see her fall apart.

"Regina don't say that, we were meant to be together. Isn't that what tinker bell said," he gestured towards his tattoo," I love you, I will never hurt you again, I know your hurt please let me heal your heart. Please just give me a chance," he came closer this grabbing her and holding tight so she can't move away from him.

"I am not hurt, my skin is thicker than you think," she spat.

"Regina," he sighed," please."

She broke down in his arms, tears flowed out of her eyes like water flows down a river. She place her hands on his biceps. He rapped his arms around her tighter, he knew this was his fault. He had led her to these tears, he whispered sweet nothings in her ear as an attempt to soothe her sobs.

"I love you too," she whispered," but I can't be weak and vulnerable."

"You won't be, you'll be stronger, stronger than ever," he said to her.

"That's not what I mean," she was still fighting for her happiness and he was it," I can't be vulnerable to you, you are apart of my happiness and if you have such a hold on my emotions with the smallest action I can be so miserable." 

"I won't ever hurt you, ever," he said and she nodded and placed her head on his shoulder.
