I ran down the street towards my best friend's house. At the edge of the sidewalk, I looked up at the partially blue painted house. I walked to the door and knocked. About a few seconds later, Joyce opened the door. "Hi Max, I didn't expect to see you," Joyce said, tilting her head. "Sorry, but I came to drop this off," I held up Chloe's bag, "She left it at my house," I added. "Oh, thank you. You can come in if you want," she opened the door more and I walked inside. "Chloe's upstairs." I nodded and headed up.
Chloe sat on her bed, drawing on the wall. Chloe looked back at me. "What're you doing here?" She asked, hopping off the bed. I dropped her bag on to her bed, "Hello to you, too." I sat down and pulled her onto the bed next to me. "Hey, so, I've been thinking about cutting my hair," Chloe said, smiling. She was almost always happy. "Really, you don't like it long? And where is William?" I asked. "Kind of. And he went to the store to get groceries." She replied. "Hm."
I sat on the couch with Chloe, watching what was on TV. "Hey Max, how long do you plan on staying here?" William asked, carrying groceries to the kitchen. "I don't know. Until you kick me out I guess." I replied, earning a smile from William. "Well, I guess she won't be going anywhere for a while," Chloe added. "Yep. I'm never leaving you," I said.
