Minna's POV
"I'll never find a career. I'm a lowlife loser." I told my best friend Lola on the phone as I threw myself onto the couch.
"Calm down, Minn. You'll find something. How about this, I'm in town right now and I'll try to find a flyer for a job. Yeah that's what I'll do. See you when I get back to the flat." Lola said, hanging up after.
Well, at least she's trying to help. Eventually, I got up and walked over to my bedroom and slammed the door. My parents will kill me if I don't find a job. Even worse, they'll make me go live with them in Sheffield. Ew. I slowly pouted over to my bed and took a nap until Lola came home. About an hour later, Lola ran into my room.
"MINNA MINNA MINNA WAKE UP! I FOUND YOU THREE FLYERS!" Lola screamed scaring the living hell out of me. I sat up drowsily in my bed and looked at the flyers she found.
"Okay really Lola? Starbucks? I'm not looking for a high school part time job I need a career." I said, annoyed with her find. She held up the next flyer.
"Not as bad but I have no patience for the elderly."
The last sign shocked me. This wasn't a job. It was a career. It was a chance to do the one thing I love as a career. But I can't.
"Lola I hate One Direction." I sighed as she looked hopefully at me.
"You don't even have to work with them. Lie, just put on a smile to win them over but let yourself scream on the inside." Lola tried to convince me.
"FINE! Call the number on the flyer." I said. The flyer was about a contest called Make Me Famous. The contestants went to this building with dorms and an arena and stay there for a month. The contestants compete and try to win over the judges with musical talent. The judges were the people it was hosted by, One Direction. I hope this is worth it.
