The smell of cleaning detergent pressed in from all sides and the only source of light was a feeble light bulb that flickered every once in a while. It did nothing to illuminate the path for the three figures, cloaked in shadows creeping down the hall, but then again it didn't make them visible either which was just what they wanted. Or at least you would think so, seeing their attire.

At closer inspection, the figures weren't dressed in shadows at all. Instead they wore form fitting black clothes and boots. The only thing that stood out about about them at all was the second figures long red ponytail which she hastily tucked away as they drew nearer to their destination.

The silence was palpable, only interrupted by the occasional rustle of clothing. That is until somewhere not far off a door was shoved open, hitting the brick wall with a loud clang and an a great deal of shouting began tearing the silence in two.

As if this were a cue, the first figure turned abruptly. His eyes, the colour of the sky stood stark in contrast to the gloomy corridor. "We have three guys to take out. They aren't expecting us so it should be easy. Don't miss and don't give them time to draw their guns. The contact should be there. Are you ready?" he searched his comrades faces imploringly and was met with faces that resonated yes. The corners of his mouth lifted up into a grim smile.

For a few moments the three of them looked like flightless birds, hurrying down the corridor toward the sounds of yells and screams. They rounded a corner, drawing their weapons and were met with a startling sight. Everything seemed to stop for a few seconds.

Inside a large white room a young girl, probably eighteen or nineteen cowered on the floor. Her lip was bloody and her dark eyes were full of tears. Above her stood two men, shouting at one another, gesturing to the girl. Both were tall and muscular, their legs alone the size of tree trunks. By the door two men were already lifting their rifles as the intruders rounded the corner.

"SHOOT!" someone screamed, friend or foe nobody knew. Either way, the air was quickly filled with dust and gunpowder. Somebody screamed, a long piercing scream as sharp as a lose shard of glass. There were thunks as bodies crumpled and hit the ground. At last the gunpowder cleared. The four guards were no longer on their feet and instead were slumped in piles, their eyes bulging, their last expression forever etched on their face.

"Nice work." said the first figure appreciatively, "But we have to work fast. C'mon." he turned around and beckoned to the girl, "Hurry! Get over here!"

However, the girl looked like she was in no shape to be moving. Her face was horrorstuck, her eyes were wide and her jaw slack. Her face was full of revulsion. They may have been her saviours, but they were also murderers.

"She's in shock Blake." said the red haired girl, straightening up. Her cool gaze fell on the red head, her pale eyes softened and her brow knitting together.

The third figure crept forward, a kind expression of his face. "So you're our inside source." he raised his eyebrows at the girl, "Well it's safe to say you're not what we were expecting uhh-" he paused to search for a name tag and quickly found one of her breast pocket, "Kayla," he smiled quickly, and after hesitating a moment or two Kayal allowed him to help her to her feet.

She was still as white as a ghost, but she didn't look as frightened. It was safe to say the three of them looked a lot more inviting that the guards.

"Good, you're alright. Now are you two okay?" asked Blake, turning to his fellow colleagues.

"Well we're a lot more okay than these poor bastards, that's for sure... but now that you ask, I'm feeling a little peckish. Perhaps a spot of lunch would fix that right up... am I right Jasper?" Lily turned her eyes to the third figure, raised a single eyebrow at her partner, the hint of a smile on her pretty face.

"No injuries." Jasper said shortly, watching Blake out of the corner of his eye. He looked like he was going to open his mouth to lecture the redhead when overhead an alarm began to blare.

"Jasper take up the rear, Lily follow me!" yelled Blake suddenly, immediately spurred into action. "We have 2 minutes before this place is completely shut down!" and with that the four of them hurtled out of the room and down the corridors.
