Ch 4 Traitor

Jace's POV:

"Hey man, I think there's something going on about a mile away from Lily's place." I turned to Blake.

"How do you know?" He questioned.

"Agent Carter texted, now let's hurry. I'm not sure what it is, but it's bad. That's all he told me." I said while putting on my combat outfit and grabbing my gun.

"Why aren't you taking your gadgets?" Blake questioned as he got dressed.

"I think all we really need today is our gun, Blake. Now hurry up! I'll be waiting in the car." I grabbed the car keys and walked out of the house provided by HQ. I unlocked the 2015 Black Dodge Challenger Hellcat and turned on the engine letting it idle in preparation for the mini race against time. As soon as Blake got into the car I sped off towards Lily's place. Apparently she's in danger, and we have to make sure no one gets to her before we do.

When we arrived, I parked two miles from the gunfire that could be heard clear as day. I cut the engine and set out in a sprint towards the gunfire. To say all hell broke lose might have been an understatement, but I'm not sure what could describe this situation. Lily's gang was in hot pursuit of someone, that I was sure of. But as I scanned the area for the famous gang leader, I didn't see a thing.

"Blake I don't see her, and I don't see Allan either."

"They have to be here, she's the leader and he's the second in command. They're here somewhere, but we probably won't be able to see them through this mess." He replied confidently.

I was about to reply but I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

HELLO AGENT PORTER. WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW WHERE LILY IS? THAT'S A SHAME. IT LOOKS LIKE WE WILL GET TO HER FIRST, AND WE WILL KILL HER THE SAME WAY WE KILLED HER PARENTS AND YOURS. SHE THOUGHT SHE HAD THE MOLE, SHE HAD ONE AND HE ESCAPED, SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LEAVE BEFORE WE KILL YOU THE SAME WAY WE KILLED YOUR PARENTS.

I paled at the text and checked my surroundings. Blake noticed my behavior and grabbed the phone from my grip. He paled at the text as well and shut the phone off.  Once he gave it back to me he continued to scan the horizon for Lily. I wanted to speak up but I was in shock from the text. I was frozen thinking about my parents and being told they were M.I.A. I thought they went into hiding, sure there was a small part of me that said they're gone, but I refuse to believe it. I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard a scream of bloody murder. I looked at Blake. 

That was definitely a girls scream.

"Let's go." I said to Blake. He nodded in return and we were off. The closer we got to where the scream came from I could faintly make out the silhouette of six people. Five of them had a heavy build and one had a small frame. I knew instantly that's Lily, I waited to see what I would be getting us into if we have to spring into action.

"Let go of me you traitor!" She shouted. Before anyone could react she was slapped down to the ground, and I felt a tug at my heart as her small body hit the ground.

"You're just like your parents. They teamed up with secret agents and now you're doing the same damn thing." Another man replied. Now I'm completely confused.

Lily's POV:

I don't exactly know what Tony is getting at. I don't know any secret agents. Maybe he's just crazy. Yeah! I'll go with that!

"I don't know what you're talking about! Why would my parents team up with secret agents when they have the biggest spy agencies after them?! How does that make sense?" I questioned getting up from the ground.
