Awake At Last

Danno sat in the garden in the shade of a young oak tree. He was drawing. He was good at drawing. But today he was trying a newish style. He was drawing his new little friends...what where they're names again? Oh yeah... Riggy and Rosey... his memory of them was getting a bit hazy, so he figured drawing them might help lock their faces in his mind. Plus his friends had asked for a picture, and the one he'd taken was total garbage - somehow he'd completely missed them... how HAD he done that anyway? His hands had been shaking a bit from nerves when hit took the pic... had it somehow missed them?? Had he put the phone down too soon?? Had it slipped out of his grasp and he had somehow not noticed??? Who knows. Danno flicked the pink and blue pencil shavings off his jeans and smiled at his sketch... he thought he had captured they're images pretty well... (now this is the first time I've ever tried Imitateing Danno's art style so bear with me

Boy oh boy do I love using pencils 💀💀) and now that he had an acurit drawing of them (after like 70 tries)... what should he do with it? Send it to the Group Chat like he had promised? No... his friends had only left about two hours ago... most of them would still be driving to the various states of the U.S they lived in and Bam would be in a 11 hour flight and he didn't even want to THINK about Bundun's flight home! (16hrs and 54mins I know from experience) So unless ether of them had paid extra for wifi on they're plane  trips (I THINK that's a thing you can do?) They wouldn't even GET the notifications for aalmost a sold day!. Danno made a face. He was bored despite him having found not one but TWO little furry anthropomorphic bunny creatures! IN. ONE. DAY. Danno got up. It was a bit of a struggle as he had to lean on the tree's trunk for a second as he felt momentarily dizzy... had he drunk water today?? Or.... yesterday for that matter? Especially since it had been so hot lately... or... was Joey right and he was just coming down with a fever?. No matter... fever or no fever if the heat was making him feel lightheaded he should probably go inside to let his body temperature regulate itself (sorry, analytical brain? Who asked you to join storytime??) Plus he had already been outside for an HOUR! That was WAY too long for an animator!. After the dizzy spell passed he stumbled (kind of clumsly) into the house and collapced on the couch when Joey's voice shocked him (again lol) "You okay Danny?" He asked. Danno jumped and promptly fell off the couch. "JOEY!" He yelled. "WOULD YOU S T O P DOING THAT!? LIKE SERIOUSLY! IF YOU HAVE THAT GUN FROM PORTAL COULD I SEE IT!?" Joey laughed and stuck out his hand to help Danno up but then got serious. "Your avoiding the question again" he said. "I saw you where outside for awhile..." "I was outside for an HOUR Joey!" Said Danno sarcastically. "SHOCKING I know!" "Ha ha" said Joey equally sarcastically. "YOUR SUNBURNT! It's not great for you to be in the sun right now!" ".......Yeah...." said Danno slowly. " I guess your right...". The two stood in silence for about thirty seconds before Joey noticed Danno's notebook and pencils in his right hand. "Oh..." he said. "What are you drawing?" Danno smiled hesatently "that's Riggy..." he said pointing to the drawing of the blue bunny... no... Runkey... Rosey had said he was a Runkey... "and that's Rosey!" He said pointing to his sketch of the pink bunny. "I found Riggy in the forest at night a few days ago... and I brought him home and bandaged him up... then then the next day he woke up and I carried him down here for breakfast but he wasn't responding to me so I came to get you uh... but when I got back he wasn't there..." Danno grabbed a bit of his fringe and started tugging on it. Talking about this with Joey again was making him feel really anxious. If Joey hadn't believed him about Riggy once then he probably wouldn't believe him about Riggy this time... "and this is Rosey! She's really nice but kind of scary... she's Riggy's girlfriend. And she sounds like Layha! And-" he stopped short when Joey put his hand on his shoulder. Danno looked up and saw Joey's Interested smile had melted into a conserned frown. "Are you sure your okay?" He asked softly. "Yeah..." said Danno confused. "I'm sure... why?" Joey paused "I dunno... it's just... your talking about things that don't exist as if their REAL... you've started getting more jumpy and twitchy lately... I just... I'm worried about you Danny..." he brushed the big Patch bandaid on Danno's forehead. "You stayed sitting on a hill stareing off into space for like FIVE hours then you come back at TWO in the morning and only come out of your room at NINE and when you DO your whole forehead is covered in dried blood because you cut it on something!" "O..." Danno stuttered. "Okay then... I... I guess your right... I came in here for a drink... after that I'm going back to my room... I need to cool off...". Joey looked a mix of worried and grumpy. "Fine..." he said. "But we're having a talk soon okay?" "Mm-hm..." said Danno flatly filling up a cup at the sink. "Okay... but I need to sit down right now though... I'll probably be back in a few hours...". Danno carried his glass of water to his room. His opened his door to see Rosey sitting on a chair speaking softly to a now awake Riggy! "Hey!" Said Danno putting the glass on his desk. "He's awake!" "Yeah..." said Rosey. "I would have told you but I heard you talking to someone..." "oh" said Danno. "Don't worry... that's just my twin brother Joey... you can talk to and trust him..." "you have a twin brother?" Said Rosey smileing. "Cool!". They both went quiet when Riggy clumsly got out of bed tottered over to Danno and hugged him by his wast. Rosey laughed. "I think he likes you!" She said Danno laughed too "yeah... well I DID save his life."
