In life, not everyone is going to be the way you expect them to be. Not everyone is going to care about you as much as you do about them.
People are going to let you down. People are going to break promises and possibly hurt you. They will diss you at a party, or never wish you on your day. They will break your heart and leave you astray.
But, that does not mean they are necessarily bad people. That does not mean there is nothing good about them.
And it sure as hell does not mean there is something wrong with you.
Its just life and how people are.
When you find yourself giving more than you recieve,
When you find yourself still waiting on that promised call/text,
When you find yourself standing at that coffee shop alone even when they promised to show up,
Leave.
Yes, leave. But not in the soul shattering, heartbreaking forever way.
Drift away gently, give them love and move on. Be gentle and slide away. Get off the bridge, but dont burn it.
In life, we are our very first friend. And in death, we will have our life flashing before our eyes. Make sure you see some smiles and not lonely tears flowing down your cheek everytime.
