"Hello? Earth to Elena? Helllooo?" I snapped out of my trance when I heard Jacob speak to me. "Huh?" I said confused. I looked up at his glowing face. He smiled at me. "Do you want to come in?" He asked. " Umm... Su-" I was cut off by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID & it was my mom. "Sorry, I have to take this." He nodded and I turned my back and answered the phone. "Hello?" I said into my phone. "Elena? It's mommy. How was school?" She asked. "Good... I guess" I said while looking back at Jacob. "That's wonderful! Did you make any new friends?" She asked anxiously. "Umm... No. Not really. I-" She cut me off. "Oh! I'm sorry honey but I have to go to a meeting! Love you! Bye!" She blew a kiss in the phone and hung up. I took the phone away from my ear and looked at it, a tear rolled down my cheek. "Love you too." I whimpered. I felt warm hands on my shoulders as I continued to look at my screen with me and my dad on it when I was 5. "Are you alright?" He asked concerned. I sniffed and wiped away my tears. "Yeah. I-I'm fine. Umm... I should, uh um, get going. Bye." I walked down the stairs and made my way into my yard. I opened the door and found the huge house empty. I limped up to my room and flopped on my bed. Why can't I just I just have a normal life. It was around 4:00. So I decided to take a shower and put on my gym shorts and a wife beater. I layed in bed and turned the tv on. "SpongeBob SquarePants, SpongeBob SquarePants, SpongeBooobbb...SquarePaaannttss, Hahahahahahahahhoohehehaa." The theme song cheered.

1 WEEK LATER

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Ugh! I don't wanna go! But I have to. I roll out of bed and hop in the shower, I did my hygiene and put on my clothes and went down stairs. It was around 7:30 I walked to school and got there quicker than yesterday. I went to my locker and started taking out my things for math. I heard somebody come next to me and open up their locker. I looked up and there he was. He looked down at me and smiled. "Hey." He said with a smile. "Hey." I said shyly. I shut my locker and made my way to math class. But when I was on my way, I saw her. I can't remember her name. Was it Joti, Joia, Jontia! That was her name. She looked at me and slid her finger across her throat. I gulped hard and made my way into class. I sat in the faaaaaaaaaaaaarrr back. Jacob came in and looked around. I guess he was looking for me. When he spotted me he made a weird look. He sat in his seat and Mrs.Johnson came into the class. Jontia came in and made her way over to Jacob. "Oh brother" I heard him mumble. I giggled, and I guess he heard me because he turned around and smiled at me. I looked down and blushed. Jontia sat next to Jacob and started talking to him. I could easily tell he was annoyed because while she was talking, he threw his head back and groaned. I couldn't help but giggle at his attitude towards her. After Mrs.Johnson got settled she got attention. "Alright class. Today I am giving you a project. You will work with a partner and you both will learn things you have in common and things you don't have in common. So I advise you two be around each other 24/7. Your partner orders are boys with girls. I have already chosen your partners. They are up o the board outside of the class when you all leave today. Now open up your algebra books to  page 45 and begin reading." She said. I pulled out my book and started reading. I heard someone giggle and I looked up to see Jontia smiling and hitting Jacob's arm. I shook my head and snickered softly at Jacob. He was fake smiling and was trying to ignore her by looking at his book. ( After School ). I was at my locker getting ready to leave and Jacob walked up to me. "Hey. You want to come to my house, or yours?" He asked. "Why?" I asked unsure of what he was talking about. "Because! We're partners silly!" He said kind of gay. I giggled at him showing his very awkward but cute feminine side. "Mine is cool" I said still giggling a bit. Then he stopped. "Cool. Now let me stop before somebody sees me." We laughed. "Wanna walk home together?" He asked with so much hope in his voice. "Yeah. Sure" I said casually. We started walking out of the school. We walked pass Jontia and she gave me a death glare. I got a bit scared but I shook it off. Dang that girl can give you the chills. Jacob and I walked to my house. It felt kind of short, considering someone was walking with me. I opened the door and I was suprised to see.....
