The Past

20 2 1

The past are just memories stitched together
Broken fragments that make up one another
It needs to be let go
If not, it will take your soul
The past can scar you
It can make your mind unscrew
Replaying the stories gets old
It turns into rusted gold
The past is already foretold
Don't let it take control
I promise the misery won't last
It will turn into a display behind glass
The past can't be slept away
But that doesn't mean there can't be a good day
It will be a mountain to climb
So take your time
The past can be forgiven
Even if it's in bad condition
Yesterday has become ancient
Tomorrow will be the replacement
Patience is the key to find your inspiration
The past will not be your final destination
