A/N: Okay this is going to be really bad (><) but this fic started out as a kaisoo roleplay and I really liked the plot so I decided to turn it into a fic to post here. My writing is pretty bad at the moment but I hope it will improve over time so if you have any suggestions then please comment then and I'll love you forever? ^^

Kai walked into the school grounds and looked around, trying to find hid favourite target. A few minutes later, he finally caught eyes on the small boy, Do Kyungsoo. Despite him being older, Kai would always find him in the mornings and show him a little something.

He walked over and shoved the doe-eyed boy against his locker, knocking his books out of his hands and smirked as he lifted his fragile body up by the collar of his school shirt, his leering face invading Kyungsoo's personal space.

"Morning sunshine, I hope you didn't think I was gonna let you go to first period without saying hello?" Kai muttered as his grip on Kyungsoo tightened, leaving small imprints of nail marks along the light boy's collarbones.

"Why would I ever think that? You do this every morning. Why don't you go terrorise someone else for a change huh?" Kyungsoo spat and tried to move out of Kai's grasp but was clearly too weak.

Jongin pretended to think for a moment, letting out a small hum. "Well," he smirked and used one knee to hold Kyungsoo's legs in place as well as he could so that the other couldn't squirm away. "I suppose it's because out of all of the potential people out there...you're probably my favourite to mess with." Kai looked at Kyungsoo for as moment and scoffed. "Oh and don't act all high and mighty, you brought this on yourself."

"And how have I done that?" Kyungsoo smirked while moving his head up away from the neck of his shirt while catching his breath. "I'm flattered that I'm you're favourite, thank you Jongin" he winked back and actually looked confident.

Kai couldn't help but sputter a bit a Kyungsoo's change in demeanor, hoping that the other wouldn't see how his skin suddenly flushed with heat. "L-like that!" he yelled, pushing Kyungsoo against the lockers one more before releasing him and backing away. "Just like that..." he muttered softly, turning away from Kyungsoo and walking briskly down the hall to somewhere where no one would find him.

Kyungsoo abruptly fell to the floor when Jongin let him go, he could feel a sharp pain throughout his back, probably where the many bruises from his dad's last beating had hit the lockers.

Every night since his mother had left, his father would go and get drunk or high before coming home and beating him. It had turned into a regular cycle, being beaten by both his ather and by Jongin but something about Jongin was different that day, he hadn't even punched him once, and for some reason, Soo was feeling confusion alongside relief.

Kyungsoo slowly stood up and watched down the hall, confused as to why Jongin had suddenly left him alone and where he was going.

Jongin knew that there was no way that he could think of even trying to concentrate in class at the moment, so he found it pointless to show up when he knew he wouldn't benefit from it at all.

Instead, Jongin found himself in his usual hide out for when it was school hours and he didn't want to be found - the greenhouse.

As weird as it may be, the science department insisted on growing plants and flowers on school campus for educational reasons; for hin, this was where he relaxed and could sort things out on peace. He had been going there a lot lately for one reason and one reason only. Kyungsoo.

The bell suddenly rang and Soo realised he was late for first class. He quickly gathered his books up off the floor and ran towards his first lesson, one that, unfortunately, Jongin shared with him. He ran up to the door and burst in just as the teacher called his name, "Here...I-I'm here!" Soo stuttered while panting and made his way to his seat, trying to catch his breath.

Soo sat down and looked around the room, expecting to be hearing snarky comments coming from Jongin on the other side of the room, but when he looked, Jongin wasn't there. 'Maybe he's just late as well' Kyungsoo thought to himself but he knew deep down that Jongin wasn't going to show up to class and he couldn't help but feel a little responsible.
