I wake up feeling really sore and achy from the beating I got last night, as I get in the shower I see how my body is covered with purple and blue bruises I look so gross but I'm used to it I do my usual routine and I put on some black skinny jeans and a gir sweater I really don't even try with my appearance anymore why bother I'll still be worthless.

I have dark brown hair with light grey eyes I'm not that tall I'm 5,3 and I'm skinny with curves that I got from my mother Jennifer, I haven't seen her in a long time I'll have to visit her in the hospital soon, she doesn't know how evil Derek has become she would be crushed if she found out what he does to me, believe me or not he use to actually be a good stepfather so I keep quiet about it. I throw on my green vans I head out to my safe haven... school.

As I head into school I see the school's bad boy Ethan Mercy flirting with some girl by my locker, I ignore them and head over to my locker to get my stuff as I close my locker Ethan looks up, " Hey beautiful emo girl how's life been treating you?" Horrible I want to say..." Alright" I say so he could hurry up and stop talking to me, I'm not a very social person and plus he was super sexy.

He nods and stares at me with no emotion the girl who Ethan was flirting with turns around and I see that it was my ex- best friend Tanya, we use to be best friends but I just stopped talking to her when I found out my mom had cancer I became a loner.

She looks at me with annoyance, "Why are you still here?" I shrug and walk away as I'm about to turn the corner I look back in see that Tanya and Ethan are in a heated argument Ethan turns around and walks off ignoring Tanya, she turns around and stares at me like it's my fault I roll my eyes and turn the corner going to my class even though I'm safe here, school still has its drama.
