Robbie is having a hard time. You don't know why, and you don't know how to help him you suspect there is a fight going on between him and his friends but they won't say anything either you find him in his bedroom sitting on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands. He doesn't acknowledge you as you walk over to him and sit next to him. Instead you just sit in silence finally you speak up "do you want to talk about it" "I want to be left alone" he says
Abruptly still not looking at you. You lean back. Ouch Definitely
not expecting that "you want me to go?" You ask hurt "look I know something's wrong but you can tell me and I -" "For gods sake just go" he says loudly and visibly angry " just please stop talking and go!" You stare at him for a Second. His face is still buried in his hands, his fists pressed to his eyes "if that's you want" you said quietly standing up and walking to the door. You pause in the doorway and look back at him. He looks so alone so, lost. You can't give up on him no matter what he says "at least let me say this" you say ignoring The way his fists tighten at the sound of your voice "don't push me away i'm not going to pretend to understand because I don't but I can try and that's best I can offer no matter what happens I will never think of you as anything but strong and brave" he still isn't looking at you but he is still but he is listening so you could tell you continue your voice softening "so it's okay, it's okay to cry to feel weak but please don't push me away" not a sound from him "I'm not giving up on you" you finish " I'll wait all night if I have too" he still isn't moving you walk out of the room into the living room settling on the couch waiting for him
