My blankets were suffocating me, they were right under my chin and rather tight. I pulled them back to my knees and sat up, it was warmer today than it was yesterday. The air had a heavy feel to it, like it was polluted or something. Well maybe not, I am kind of dramatic. I walked over to the window and pulled back the drapes to let some light in the room, the tree's surrounding my house were slightly blowing in the light breeze outside. I opened the window and let the cool air in, allowing my skin to breathe. My mouth felt fuzzy, and my hair was kind of dirty, so I made my way into the bathroom. As I was about to turn the shower on I felt strange, like something had passed through me. My stomach felt hollow and sort of stung a little. It was weird and spooky, like something was here, in my bathroom. I shook it off and continued getting ready for the day.
Eating breakfast, toast as usual, I remembered that today I was supposed to meet Feva. We were meeting in the meadow again, he said that he would explain everything. I was nervous but had an odd sense of excitement.
"Laura sweetie could you please pass the butter?" My father asked as he sat down at the kitchen table with his breakfast. I passed it to him without even acknowledging him. It was rude yes, but I was so caught up in the whole thing with Feva. Who was Gabrielle? Why did he keep calling me that? It was confusing me and I don't like being confused. My name is Laura, I thought he must of had confused me with someone else and would tell me that today. I said goodbye to my father and left the house and began making my way to the meadow.
Feva was at the meadow already, he was sitting down on the grass. He smiled when he saw me, he got to his feet and gave me a warm hug. He looked into my eyes and sensed that I was not in the best of moods.
"Gabrielle, are you feeling okay?" Feva asked me, he was worried.
"I'm feeling fine, I'm just a little angry that's all." I replied, attempting a smile.
"Angry at what?" He said as he lifted my chin up softly.
"You, I don't want to be but I need answers..."
"I intend to give you answers very soon."
"Yes, I know. I need to know why your calling me Gabrielle. My name is Laura." I shifted on my feet, I was looking at the ground now.
"Your name is Gabrielle, or at least it was." He answered. I had no idea what he was talking about.
