Hopeful thee, let death come
before tomorrow,
So that I may have not to confront any sorrow.
Hopeful thee, live today as you can
before twilight,
So that I may have not to burn at thy sight.
Hopeful thee, never expect too much of thy day
before noon giveth way,
So that I may have not to give-in in any say.
Hopeful thee, surprised at the sequence of events
before thou break thy fast,
So that I may have not to let go at last.
Hopeful thee, depressed at thy failing life,
No more time o live any longer, no more time to idle by,
Let death come,
before I shalt know,
And bury my soul, in the iceness of the snow.
