An Honest Lie.

The truth you see, had only just begun to  unfold,

had thought once, before giving up,

how much longer I could hold.

However honest it were,

it was a lie for sure

So devastated I was, by betrayal.

A melancholy life lived, I had,

like a tune, dull, grey, so sad

treated as if I were someone from the outer world,

Worse than a person with a soul so bad.

A demon, they said I was as though,

when I was just an angel, disguised as a foe

no longer do I believe  in those two,

after what their conflict put me through.

Be it the angels or it may  be the demons,

I felt my trusting distrust wear

I felt that sickening feeling deepen,

With you my  blemish experience, I share.
